I don't think the Suns care about the money at the moment, Bobby. They're playing better without him.

And they'll definitely be paying that 177k to other players after the trade anywaysSuperbone wrote:I don't think the Suns care about the money at the moment, Bobby. They're playing better without him.
Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Right? How much are they losing with every game that Williams and Knight are missing too? As long as they keep playing well, developing and getting better, it's essentially a sunk cost with a hope that it will be made up with a good trade.Superbone wrote:I don't think the Suns care about the money at the moment, Bobby. Re: Bledsoe wants out!
How does everyone rank the rumored possible trade targets? I'd go:
1. Ntilikina
2. Brogdon
3. Payton
4. Mudiay

I remember some mentioning trading for him over the summer, I was never quite on board with that but how would that help us or was this when we were assuming Len was gone and not worth resigning ? Obviously because of the Bled situation we being linked with anybody else that can be traded

Insurance is paying most of Knight's salary this season.In2ition wrote:Right? How much are they losing with every game that Williams and Knight are missing too? Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Nice, I didn't realize this, but money is also the last thing on my mind when it comes to the Suns. I know they are below the cap, so they aren't paying as much as they could without penalty, so I could care less what the Suns are paying. I only care when the salary paid ties into the trade.Cap wrote:Insurance is paying most of Knight's salary this season.In2ition wrote:Right? No interest from me, at least not in any Bledsoe trade.bajanguy008 wrote:https://twitter.com/ChrisBHaynes/status/924009067525300225 I remember some mentioning trading for him over the summer, I was never quite on board with that but how would that help us or was this when we were assuming Len was gone and not worth resigning ? Re: Bledsoe wants out!
OK. Philly trying to trade Okafor.
Okafor and Bayless for Bledsoe works. I think we would need something else, like a pick. Maybe the right to swap picks with Philly (Suns pick for Philly pick). Or, if you really want to shake things up go Bledsoe and Warren for Okafor and Fultz. It actually works because both teams are under the cap. There are lots of things that could be done with Philly.
Bledsoe and Chriss (or Bender or Warren)
for
Fultz and Okafor
Not sure what is going on with Fultz, and we already know Okafor is likely a bust. So. Hmmm.

Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Not interested in Okafor, Brodgon, or Jabari Parker for that matter.
If we can't get expirings and a pick for Bled and Chandler, here are the players I'd look at:
:::crickets:::
Chris Paul?
Markelle Fultz?
Seriously, I got nothing. Just get 2018-19 off the books and either one good or two okay first rounders and we're good. I prefer our own young guys to others.'

Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Holy smokes you guys think we can get the #1 pick in the draft for Bledsoe and are balking at any return that would include Brogdon or Parker? This is homerism at its finest. Both Philly and Milwaukee fans reading this board have to be laughing. So Fultz got off to a rough start of the year because he’s been injured. He has a nice body of work from college and even summer league.
If we got Brogdon I would be ecstatic. I’m not expecting anything more than a player of Emmanuel Mudiays caliber. It’s funny that fans will bash the hell out of their own player until it comes time to trading him, then they immediately place him up on a pedestal.

Not balking at Brogdon or Parker in the least. That return would be just fine. Any trade for Fultz would have to include more, of course, and something significant. Fultz is probably not even on the table at all. Just talking out loud.specialsauce wrote:Holy smokes you guys think we can get the #1 pick in the draft for Bledsoe and are balking at any return that would include Brogdon or Parker? And about bashing your own player but putting them on a pedestal. Human beings do that all the time about everything--their brothers, their wives, their cars . . . .
Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Im still Bullish on Bender's potential. Just using the eye test over the first 5 games of the season, I feel like he provides a ton to the team defensively, and I still believe that he can develop offensively.carey wrote:Eh, he just needs to start shooting better and I think he will. That will come with confidence. His defense is already showing itself to be invaluable. Plus he's still extremely young whereas Thon could be as old as 24 or 25 already if you believe the legitimacy of the yearbook photo that showed him graduating HS in 2010.

I agree. YOu seldom find a 7-1 big who can play D, let alone play it well enough to cover players on the perimeter.jonh wrote:Im still Bullish on Bender's potential. What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Link to a Zach Lowe podcast. They spend quite a bit of time talking about the Suns. Not too optimistic about Chriss and Bender. Although, I think they were mostly talking about their chances at becoming all star level players. Basically said there is almost no historic basis for someone being as bad as they were last year, even at their age, and becoming all stars.

They didn't say no basis. Just very little. Still, I'm not counting on all star level play out of them. I think they can both be good players still. I just don't expect either to be stars, but it would be a pleasant surprise.Cap wrote:http://bkref.com/tiny/OEtgtSplit T wrote:http://m.espn.com/general/play?id=21142 ... t=10528553
