Wow, we are filling up that NAZ Suns roster, might have to acquire another G League team or start a M League team at the local community center. Or perhaps, draft and stash is another route. 4 2nd rounders? Hmm...Superbone wrote:Apparently we got a Milwaukee 2nd round pick as well.

There might not be a decent pass first PG in the draft anywhere. That's why ShelC wanted Fox so bad, and why I wanted Ntilikina.JCSunsfan wrote:Gotta be a decent defensive pass first pg available in the mid first round. Monroe is a decent offensive center when healthy. We get to let Len and Monroe audition. Plus we will likely get a shot at a top five pick.
I really hope we don't let Monroe audition. Just sit him down and either trade his contract or let him expire.

'Bone talked him into it at the Knicks game. The rivalry/prank war between 'Bone and Inf has gotten out of hand!

Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
I would guess the draft picks will fall #4-6 (Suns' own), #8-10 (Heat's) and #15-17 (Bucks')
They managed to lop off the money committed to Bledsoe for 2018-19 which is good, they got a player who is a one-year rental, which is not-so-good.
I think Bledsoe's attitude and playing style really hurt his trade value - plus I don't think the Suns' front office has the best track track record for turning chicken shit into chicken salad.

Monroe is one thing this team desperately needs - a post presence on offense. Unfortunately he's not much of a defensive presence......Superbone wrote:https://twitter.com/DunlapSports/status/927925257259794433

Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
This is true. There has been little to no post presence on offense at all. The guards are very reluctant to throw it into Len, and deservedly so. (I think Len has been much better this year, but I always hold my breath when he gets it in the post and starts to make a move.)The Bobster wrote:Monrow is one thing this team desperately needs - a post presence on offense. On the bright side, it's only one year and the draft is potentially deep with big men this year.O_Gardino wrote:Just another player who is good at one thing and bad at everything else. Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
Reporting is still coming in on the trade. So far I have seen that the 1st rounder we are getting back is "uniquely protected". Whatever the F that means.
Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
Bad trade overall. I like Monroe more than most, and his defense has evolved to the point of "average" according to DRPM.
However... he's only under contract this year. We don't have big free agency money coming up in two years. Him coming off the books at the end of the season really doesn't help us. Neither does the fact that he's a center, when we have two already who split minutes. Unless we play him at PF, which might work. Maybe, given how incompetent Bender and Chriss are, it could be an improvement.
The real key to this is the first rounder. As of this instant, Milwaukee is on the outside of the playoffs looking in. What happens to that pick if they don't make it? There's the #1 question in all of this.
Still, poor value on an asset worth more.

Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
He should fail the physical. He is due back on the court next week. He injured his calf in training camp and they decided to shut him down last week....without Monroe, the Bucks have been 1-3. I think Monroe can be traded again, he has value for contenders....a protected first round pick, probably the highest value on the open market for a healthy Monroe. So I would suggest get him healthy, show the league he's healthy and then pedal him around.UglyTruth wrote:Fine, hope Monroe fails just his then.carey wrote:Dude. That's silly. If he fails his physical we'll really get nothing. Not even cap space and a middling first.UglyTruth wrote:The 1st rd pick is lottery protected.
I hope all players involved in this trade fail their physicals and this trade gets rescinded.

That's what we got for a 20, 5, & 5?
Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
Pretty disappointed with this deal. The pick will be so late in the first round as to have only modest value. And Munroe is not a valuable asset. The Bucks were doing to get rid of him for Pete's sake. Can't McDo negotiate a better return than that? The Bucks FO must be giddy that they dumped a useless contract for an actual player of value at a position of need for them. Ridiculous.
Re: Bledsoe traded to Bucks
Oh well, I wasn't expecting much in return, tbh.

When can Monroe be traded? What is the time restriction?
