I don't know what to make of that James-Bender-sequence. We've really got a lot going for us these days.
Re: Game Day: Magic (7-4) @ Suns (4-8), Fri 11/10/17
No reason for Bender to shoot that. Deep meaningless 3 that he most likely misses.

Was James upset he didn't get a meaningless assist?Split T wrote:No reason for Bender to shoot that. Deep meaningless 3 that he most likely misses.

Being in the right place at the right time for rebounds is a basketball skill.1tinsoldier wrote:i don't care what the stats show for Mike James and Alex Len
they're just filler for me
i can't put my finger on what my problem is with James besides the ball being in his hands too much for the talent he has
but Len -- as i said last game, doesn't have the mentality
when he does score or rebound it's more his long body being in the right place at the right time rather than his instincts making things happen
twice tonight i watched him box out for a rebound, but let the ball go to someone else because he didn't lurch forward for it
timing
he doesn't have it

When was the last time a championship team had either #1 or #2 on your list here? The last time I saw a team with both it was an all-star game.In2ition wrote:1. The Suns seriously need a dominate center who can play both emds, switch on the perimeter and score inside and out.
2. They need a big athletic pass first pg that can play defense and be a consistent threat from the outside.
3. They need Chriss and Bender to make the jump next year.
4. Warren has to become a consistent threat from the corner 3.
5. Jackson has to improve by leaps and bounds.
6. They need a second or third option to take all the pressure off Booker every night.
7. They need an excellent head coach with a system that matches the talent on the team.

I could have used an actual raft to get away from the game. Fishing would have been more exciting than our ball movement in the second half.Superbone wrote:How did it do for the 2nd half? I'm guessing you needed something a little stronger.O_Gardino wrote:Sorry for the CAPS guys.

You could make the case that Draymond was #1 and #2 for the warriorsO_Gardino wrote:When was the last time a championship team had either #1 or #2 on your list here? You could make the case that there's no such thing as a "dominate center."Split T wrote:You could make the case that Draymond was #1 and #2 for the warriorsO_Gardino wrote:When was the last time a championship team had either #1 or #2 on your list here? You could also make a case that centers are back in vogue again. Nurkic, Jokic, Jordan, Towns, Gobert, Gasol, Adams, Aldridge, Davis, etc.Cap wrote:You could make the case that there's no such thing as a "dominate center."Split T wrote:You could make the case that Draymond was #1 and #2 for the warriorsO_Gardino wrote:When was the last time a championship team had either #1 or #2 on your list here? Some of those guys may be dominant, but there's still no such thing as a "dominate center."In2ition wrote:You could also make a case that centers are back in vogue again. (And nobody on that list is a true dominant center.)
Re: Game Day: Magic (7-4) @ Suns (4-8), Fri 11/10/17
Just to be a dick, tonight the dominant center was -27 in 38 minutes in an 8 point loss. That means his team was +19 in the 10 minutes he was off the court.In2ition wrote:You're right, but you understood what I meant by it.Cap wrote:Some of those guys may be dominant, but there's still no such thing as a "dominate center."In2ition wrote:You could also make a case that centers are back in vogue again.
