Suns play the Blazers 3 times in their first 9 games.
Suns play Damian Lillard 3 times in their first 9 games. Not like they have anybody else.

So, I like Anthony Edwards as much as the next person, but he shot 8-21 tonight, with 5 fouls, 3 TOs, and only 1 assist. Seems like that team could really use a facilitator and somebody to run their offense. And I said it before the game, but I just don't get the twin towers thing. I guess you can play KAT at PF, but then he can't keep up with anybody defensively since he's so out of shape and doesn't try. I feel like both of their big men are fundamentally flawed and hard to build a contending team around. Their bright idea was to acquire a big man with complementary flaws to the flaws of their existing big man, but the NBA doesn't always work like that. I just don't see the Wolves as the hot new team that some folks seem to have hyped them up as. They feel like a play-in team, not much different than they were before.

I think Lillard is out the next 2 games due to injury. ;)

Well, it's not like they have traded a lot of picks for this roster, right?

Cam heating up, been awhile.
Playing himself out of that 4 year, 40 million dollar deal if he can keep it up.

Beautiful seal inside by Landale.
It only took Van Gundy three quarters to stop calling him LAWNdale.

I gotta say, the worst thing about being a Suns fan is having to put up with those Sweet James commercials.
TNT for the save tonight. That guy is a creep!

The all bench lineup didn’t cut it tonight
It took Monty way too long to recognize that. And it shouldn't be a thing...especially to start the 4th quarter.
I get what the announcers were saying about Monty wanting the bench to learn how to do stuff on their own…but maybe just need the non CP3/Book players to learn. Don’t need to stagger CP3/Book, but maybe put Mikal or CamJ out there with the bench.
That was for Jeremy. Gotta develop the young guys.

Fouled out Booker on that garbage?

Edit: OK, just 5.
I was wondering why Shamet was playing in his stead with the starters for most of the 4th.

Wolves fouling down 11 with 36 seconds left is cute. Don't forget to have an orange slice.
Yeah, wasn’t sure what was going on to end the game. Wolves calling a timeout near the end of an out of reach game. Then Monty follows it up it seemed out of spite.

I thought Bizzy's D was excellent tonight. Huge contributor to the win despite the modest stat line.

Love Mikal's efficiency (wish it was on more volume). I feel like he's had a few quiet first halves this year and nearly every time has come out big in the 3rd quarter. In years past that would often continue into the second half.

The shine on D-Lee, on the other hand, has definitely worn off since the opener. 23 points in 96 minutes (6 games) on 6-22 shooting.
