Yes. I don’t believe he ever got his chance. And when he did for portions of seasons, he showed how great he can be. The only way for me to not believe would be to use him as a #1 or #2 and see him fail. But he’s stuck as a 4th option behind a guy shooting 38% from the field.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 2:38 pmDo you still believe in DA, Jeremy? I just checked and his free throw rate is somehow at a career low. His turnover rate is at career highs and usage rate is near career lows. He has a negative BPM…at some point you gotta just realize he wasn’t the guy you thought he was…it’s ok, we all are wrong from time to time.

You mean the dude averaging 5.5 points a game?

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if DA takes a tyus Jone special, and does a prove it-minimum deal on his next contract.
He is for sure is gonna be warrior or laker at some point.

Portland loves Clingan more than DA right now.

That was always the problem with DA, giving him max money for MLE production.

I’m old enough to remember when people were trying to argue that Nurkic would be an upgrade from Ayton at starting center. Now Nurkic is not even a starting center.

Re: Suns News: Week 11 (Dec 30 - Jan 5)
Nurk was an upgrade last year…but I think most people still agreed that we took a step back from Ayton to Nurk…the benefit was eliminating a clear off the court problem and adding a rotation piece in Grayson Allen to the team. Nurk becoming a total zero sucks though.

Remember that Billy Donovan, Bulls coach, was Beal’s coach in College

I'll take Vucevic and Lonzo no lie
Re: Suns News: Week 11 (Dec 30 - Jan 5)
I would too, but as long as we don’t have to move 2031…I’m only moving 2031 if we are rerouting those guys to Miami for Butler. Beal and 3 2nds for Vuc and Ball sounds perfect.
Tyus/Booker/Dunn/KD/Vuc
Then you can look at attaching 2031 to Nurk, Grayson, Royce, or Okogie to bring in the best wing you can find.
Re: Suns News: Week 11 (Dec 30 - Jan 5)
The DA departure / trade reminds me in some ways of Amare's departure. It was right for both of them to go, but then the haul we got for them (or signed using the cap space) didn't turn out well. That doesn't mean we should have kept either, not at the kind of money they were asking for. But it still sucks that we couldn't turn their departures into more of a net positive for the Suns.
Last year the DA for Nurk + Allen trade looked like a steal for us. Grayson led the league in 3pt%, and Nurk was a serviceable starting center who helped initiate our offense and make up for our lack of a PG. This year both of these guys have regressed and the deal looks less one-sided. Honestly DA might be providing more of a net positive here if he were our starting C (and it bears mentioning that we'd still have TooMany Cameras in that case). But it's hard to say, and I certainly don't miss him. I'll take the asset of Grayson and that one good year of Allen + Nurk over dealing with DA's BS every day. Good riddance, addition by subtraction.

If it’s Lonzo and Vuc, Id trade Tyus for as many 2nds as we can get tbh. Or maybe Tyus for Yabusele straight up?
Re: Suns News: Week 11 (Dec 30 - Jan 5)
IMO it would be unwise to put stock in Lonzo Ball staying healthy the rest of the season.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 3:51 pmIf it’s Lonzo and Vuc, Id trade Tyus for as many 2nds as we can get tbh. Or maybe Tyus for Yabusele straight up?
