You're right. Despite all the success over these last several years, I still find reason to complain. I don't know what's wrong with me. My apologies.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:02 pmYou're on the opposite of the spectrum, so goes the cycle. Same ol s***.

Anthony Tolliver was on the Suns once. He was maybe the worst power forward to ever get significant minutes. Absolutely useless beyond hitting an occasional 3. So you would have rather spent the money on multiple players who would crowd the roster even more while moving the needle less?INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 10:45 pmFirst, I don't think we needed to use all the cap space on signing one guy. I would have preferred to use it on a few low cost guys, like an Anthony Tolliver. I would have looked to use the space to facilitate a trade or two, and then also keep some cap room for an in-season deal.

Looks like Chriss may be the odd man out, hopefully in a deal to get a guard who can contribute.

it was booker that put mcdo on the hot seat! and replacing him with new gm wont change a thing!INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 10:55 pmThis is why it is counterproductive to put your GM on the hotseat. Either fire him or be patient. But only smart owners think that way. Only a dumb owner has the replacement and incumbent working together, and only a dumb owner would watch his GM flush a 1st round draft pick and $15 million in cap space down the toilet while we get the sequel to Point Guardians of the Galaxy: The Wings Edition.

I know. He does nothing but spot up and shoot threes. How anyone could prefer him over Ariza is baffling to me. I feel like no one here watched the GS/Huston series which was a defensive brawl and Ariza was a freaking gamer during it. Tolliver couldn't have played 15 seconds in that series.specialsauce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:07 pmAnthony Tolliver was on the Suns once. Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
That's fine. Just one name I threw out there. And even if we went that direction, we're not talking about a move that absorbs all of our cap space. He made $3.3 million last year for crying out loud.specialsauce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:07 pmAnthony Tolliver was on the Suns once. Well despite being encouraged by 'Bone and Mori when I activated my account to not be afraid to speak my mind and challenge the hierarchy on here....
I still prefer to lay in the shadows and stay out of some of these debates. Don't really get some of the Ariza reaction but hey it's pretty much normal behaviour going on in this thread tonight tbh. I am guessing some kinda trade might still be happening also so I'm still in wait and see mode, so I will just be here chilling listening/reading my Suns family "uncles and cousins" arguing and going at it #normalfamilygathering

The biggest problem last year was that the roster wasn't good.specialsauce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:05 pmThe biggest problem with last year was being forced to play the young guys because we had nobody else.

Dude, to win games you have to have good players. You can’t field a team of “future first round picks.”INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:13 pmThat's fine. Just one name I threw out there. Bit players like Anthony Tolliver and UDFAs are a total waste of space. They should never be signed, because if they’re on the court you’re getting killed. That seems to be your entire game plan.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
It's not an argument of convenience when people complain about "wasting our cap space" on a 1-year deal for Ariza without offering any viable alternatives.

I guess we should've used the cap space on do it all F Paul Zipser.

Pretty sure I just saw all of them play meaningful minutes on the two best teams in the league.

Yeah, because he would have cost $15 million.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:19 pmI guess we should've used the cap space on do it all F Paul Zipser.![]()

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
You can afford to play these types when you have them surrounded by stars that let them play to their 1 strength. You don't put these turds on bad teams, good teams can mask their weaknesses.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:22 pmLike Quinn Cook? Luc Richard Mbah a Moute? Gerald Green? Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
So your strategy is to spread that 15 million around on MORE players who are, to a man, WORSE AT BASKETBALL? That results in less talent and a roster that is even more crowded!INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:23 pmYeah, because he would have cost $15 million.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:19 pmI guess we should've used the cap space on do it all F Paul Zipser.![]()

If we spent ANY money on Zipser it would've been a waste, he is garbage. You would've applauded that move though because he's one of your guys.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:23 pmYeah, because he would have cost $15 million.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:19 pmI guess we should've used the cap space on do it all F Paul Zipser.![]()
