Point Book can't run this team. His stats are great but the rest of the team has no flow or rhythm. Book needs to be a SG. Problem is the GM has elected to have no semblance of a PG on the roster and if you move Book to SG what do you do with Beal? Quite a predicament.

I always said Booker needed to be a SG and nothing else. I wanted to either start a PG (such as Payne) or put Beal at PG (which is what Shams reported we were planning on doing).

Agreed - I think that explains some of their struggles. There are too many guys having to take on roles that they weren't brought in for because of the injuries we've had - that includes Book. I don't believe point Book was ever the plan hence the subtle dig (,at management)early on in the season from KD about having their PG (Book) back. Both laughed but you could tell they weren't happy then in my opinion.

I wish we had gotten Nurse or Bud. This team is a huge disappointment. It seems really clear to me that Point Book and letting KD and Nurk and others just bring the ball up and freestyle the offense doesn't work. Booker and KD need to be what they are elite at, finishers, not initiators of offense. We need a starting PG urgently and a new offensive game plan.

Problem is there’s not really a pg available for the for the money restriction and assets we have. Still don’t think a pg is our big issue. Right now it’s Vogel. All eyes will be on him after this. Some tough games coming up. Probably make or break for him.


We’re heading to be completely be embarrassed on Christmas. That might be it.

I think a PG would resolve alot of issues on offense to where we could start out scoring teams like we are built to. This team is loaded with able scorers and yet we struggle to get to 100 now.

Defense takes longer to figure out than offense for new rosters.

Not saying Vogel is off the hook by any means. He looks pretty defeated in the press conference.

I am going full parent mode on this team: I’m not even angry, just disappointed.
It is hard though to get past thinking that the team as structured - on and off court - is fundamentally broken. I mean we got 66 points on essentially 50% shooting from KD and Booker tonight and couldn’t beat the Blazers.
