Not trying to pile on Ayton (I still honestly like the guy), but just from watching Suns and Blazers game, the impacts go way beyond the stats. Nurkic, most of the time, is having a significant positive impact for the Suns. I don't think Ayton is having the same impact for the Blazers; he's been struggling this year, regardless of what the stats say. I suppose Ayton should be like a 20 and 12 guy, so maybe the stats do show the struggle.

The real stats don't make Ayton look any more like a max player. Nurk matches his stats while being a much more effective passer and facilitator, for half the price, along with Allen and Little in the package. Easy decision.

DA is DA. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit more pep in his step tonight, looking for a good battle with him and Nurk. Simons has been on a tear and we've had trouble containing scoring guards. Grant can go off, Shaedeon, Brogdon, and Scoot...you just don't know which team of ours will show up.
