If you know what I'm talking about, congratulations, you're old.
I thought I was old now. Guess not.
I'm old but I don't know what he's talking about.
The Continental Basketball Association based their standings on a point system, with seven points available in each game. You get one point for each quarter you win (half a point for each quarter you tie), and three points for winning the game.
The Sixers won the third quarter against Dallas, so they would have come away with a point for that debacle.

Hmm. I wasn't aware of that. I thought you were talking about the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I thought so too - in addition to the fact that it was posted by Capologist, after all.

Currently 1-14 from the field. Lakers down 16. They'll fall to 1-8 on the year. Worst start in how many years?

Worst start in Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers history.

The worst "Laker" team in history was the 1946-47 Detroit Gems (which moved to Minneapolis in 1947). The Gems finished the season with a 4-40 record. They started the season 2-7 in their first nine.
The 1957-58 Minneapolis Lakers (who finished the season at 19-53) also started the season 2-7.

1994-95 LAC 0-16
1949-50 DEN 0-15
1970-71 CLE 0-15

The ball should have gone to Wroten on the last possession. The Rockets did everything to hand the victory to Philly, but Philly kept making losing plays.

Worst teams in the league so far -
24T - Oklahoma City 3-7
24T - Indiana 3-7
26T - Minnesota 2-6
26T - Denver 2-6
28 - New York 2-8
29 - LA Lakers 1-8
30 - Philadelphia 0-9
I don't think we'll be getting any extra #1s in next year's draft. Minnesota and the Lakers both look pretty horrible.

Hubie Brown has forgotten more basketball than I'll ever know, but tonight he said something pretty ignorant. He talked about Philly having bad luck because for the second year in a row, their lotto pick is out for the year. There's absolutely no luck or lack thereof involved in any of those situations. Philly knew Embiid was going to be out for the year before they even drafted him, and that probably factored into his appeal. That pick will blow up in their faces because Embiid will never be able to stay healthy.

Very interesting to see the Clips get off to a slow start.
I respect JJ Redick for how hard he's worked to be a contributor in this league, but I think his contract is one of the worst values in the league. I really wouldn't want him on my team, at least not with what he's making.

Others have said this, but Doc Rivers has made some bad decisions as their GM. He seems to have grabbed every mediocre veteran who was on a team that played against the late 00s Celtics. He even signed H*** T******* for Pete's sake.

SDC thinks he's the only one that can covet Gasol.

I was hoping the Suns would take a flyer on him before he decided to go overseas. He's another guard I would like to pair with Dragic:
Andrew Goudelock of Fenerbahce Ulker has been named Euroleague MVP for Round 5 of the regular season.
Goudelock established a new Euroleague mark with 10 three-pointers as the Turkish champs defeated FC Bayern Munich 86-93.
He finished with 34 points scored, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal in compiling a performance index rating of 40, which was not only the best of Round 5’s 12 games, but the highest index in the league all season.
