I met Steven Hunter today in Queen Creek. He was at an adventure park for his kids birthday party. I told him that the 04-05 Suns were my favorite to watch. I asked him why he didn’t resign and he said Sarver didn’t want to sign him for more than one year. I always wondered why we didn’t resign him, he was a solid center during his team here.
If I remember right he dislocated his finger early and it through him off so he didn’t do as well as he could have.

That’s way cool that you met him, he seems like a solid guy.

He was a really nice guy. He went out of his way to shake my hand and talk to me. I didn’t want to hog his time up since he was there with his kids. He said he wanted to stay here, he was 23 at the time and loved it here. Fucking Sarver man.
