Did you see Monty's career without Paul? He's garbage, And I think the last 2 speak for themselves. Look I'm not saying Booker is elite as a PG in any sense, but neither is Giddey, and I don't think Giddey offers an substantial upgrade at what he would cost versus his drawbacks. I would like to see what the coach that led the Cavs offense with 2 combo guards can do with Booker and Green. And I really just don't wanna hard cap the team just because, doesn't make sense to me.

We're just not going to agree on this. I'll just agree to disagree and my final statement is that you are casting doubt on a 22-year old who averaged a 20 point triple double basically in the second half of his third season of NBA ball.

I think Giddey would be good..I just don’t think it’s reasonable to get him. Chicago won’t be interested in working out a S&T.

I have always been more ok with point book than most and I’m curious to see what it does. I agree that we were better with CP3 here, but he’s a top 5 pg all time. I wish we had someone that could take some pressure off Booker to create everything, but I do think we’ve been at our best the last two years with the ball in Booker’s hands. And remember, it was point book that stole 2 games from the title winning nuggets in 2023.

I think Giddey would be a better fit than Green but I don’t think getting him is realistic and I don’t want both players so I won’t even waste any energy on it.

I think the finals demonstrated the best type of PG to put near Booker. He’d thrive next to a Nembhard or Cason Wallace-type (*cough* De’Anthony Melton *cough*).

I don't think Point Book was the problem with KD, the lack of any offensive imagination from the coaches and then KD being a black hole grenade passer on offense killed him. Yes he can get blitzed, but the coach is supposed to come up with a plan to help that, needless to say Bud and Vogel didn't anything of the sort.

So you think it is more likely that three coaching staffs (Monty, Vogel, Bud) were the problem than Point Book being a stagnant, predictable, unreliable offense that got Book his stats but at the detriment of the team and didn't allow him to thrive in his natural role as a scorer?

Also I'd like to point out that Giddey is pass first because aside from the post break last year, dude can't shoot.

I’d support Melton, but everyone seems to say he’s got an agreement with GS and just waiting for the Kuminga situation to resolve.

Melton isn't an on-ball creator, but he is an on-ball defender. He solves half of the PG problem.
