If we can’t find a third team just take KCP ourselves and demand a first round pick from the Lakers in return!
The problem is KCP has to consent the move as he would lose his early Bird rights. He knows he has no future here, that's why he wants to be sent to a third team where he'll have the chance to grab another contract.
I'd be beyond happy if we managed to extract a 1stR from LAL, but from a value perspective I am not sure the upgrade would be worth it for the Lakers.

Yes I’d move the mil pick for dinwiddie. He’s better than Bledsoe. We’d have to pay him, but that’s fine. We could still create space to sign a 4 in the off-season.
Instead of the MIL pick, I'd put Jackson on the table and see what kind of protected 1stR I can get from BRY. They also have DEN's pick this year, top12 protected (currently #25). I'd offer Jackson, Bender and Daniels for Dinwiddie, Faried and that DEN pick.

I think the Nets view Dinwiddie as a serious part of their core and their future. I'd be very surprised if they moved him.
Didn't I read they would have to go into tax territory to give him the contract he asked for (basically the TJ Warren deal)?

Nope, their cap is empty next year (though they are still paying for the stretched Deron Williams - which is kind of nuts.)

Brooklyn just hasn't committed to him for whatever reason.

He was eligible on December 8th, right? Wonder if they are trying to find trade partners if they don't want to pay him the 12M, and his current salary is a better fit so they don't have to take back as much? Wishful thinking.

It’s possible they are holding to the little thread of hope that they could sign two max free agents(kyrie and Butler) signing dinwiddie now would move them from like 70 million in space to 58 million.

Getting Lonzo seems pretty unrealistic. Lebron loves him and he would never let his Phoenix GM trade Ariza for him. Most likely we get fleeced here in this deal considering our desperate circumstances.
I think Dinwiddie is the most realistic option. Not a huge fan but I'd give him a chance.
I'm not sure what Dante Exum does well so I can't be too excited.
Darren Collison is what he is, a fringe starter. Brings decent defense but not much of a playmaker or facilitator. Many teams feel the same way since he has bounced around so much.
Cory Joseph is another fringe starter. His assist numbers are higher this year than I would have expected because I've always viewed him as slightly more of a shoot first guy. Doesn't have the ceiling to be a long term solution IMO.

They can try all they want but Phoenix is the last place any big FA wants to sign. And definitely not after the past 2 seasons. Terrible, directionless team, with the worst owner in sports. Going to have to build this thing through the draft or trade and so far the draft hasn't really worked out.

Didn't catch that. My bad. Trying to figure out this team has caused me to struggle with rational thinking.

I’d stay way from Dunn, Clarkson, IT, Dragic, Mudiay, Felton, and Wall, but for the right deal I’d be open to the others.

Yeah, as long as that doesn't mean we give up our pick too.

I assume that pick would go to the 76ers?
So if that is accurate:
Lakers
In: Ariza
Out: KCP, ~20-25th pick in 2019
76ers
In: KCP, ~20-25th pick in 2019
Out: Fultz, Milton
Suns
In: Fultz, Milton
Out: Ariza

I didn't realize Milton was so good at 3s, as well as rebounding and passing. At least from his college numbers

That’s how I read it. I don’t see any downside for us. This is as good a deal as we’re going to get for Ariza.
