Suns are lucky to have Booker as one of the faces of the franchise.

Payne has struggled a little bit this season. I really wish he would look to pass more, but I think this is kind of who he is as a player. And he's just fine the way he is, so long as we don't depend on him for more than we should. With all our injuries there aren't a lot of other bench players who can help create shots for others or run an offense, so Payne is kind of left out there to dribble-drive over and over. The dynamics would be a lot different if we had, say, Saric and Nader and Shamet in that lineup, all of whom can facilitate to varying degrees.
I think the main guy who is hurt by Payne's shoot-first mentality has been Shamet. Less so now that Shamet is starting, but that'll change again in a few weeks. I wish Payne would realize that if he would drive to the basket, draw in Shamet's man, and then pass out to Shamet for an open 3, that's basically guaranteed points. Oh well.

Glad the fellas are getting some rest in. Next games are Friday and then B2B Monday and Tuesday on the road Clips and Blazers.
We share lots of tweets from Vigil and Cooper so not much breaking news here regarding stats and their opinions but yea it's Suns content and a decent amount
Edit : The Booker discussion is quite insightful
The Booker stuff for those who might not have gotten to listen basically explains how Monty been using him and how as a result he is so far down this list. Crazy efficiency to still be racking up numbers

The Cardinals are 10-2 and the Suns are 20-4, exactly the same winning percentage and both at the top of their league's standings.
Kenny Hustle would be nice... he'd be a slightly younger, bigger, and more energetic Craig.

If Frank is put of the shelf for the season, I'd be interested in Naz Reid. There was some recent talk of the Timberwolves bringing in a Center for some reason I don't understand, but if they did, maybe Reid would be available.

Yeah, so would Benny Baskets and Donny Dunks.

Booker's rank in touches per game shouldn't be surprising to people who routinely watch the Suns. Ball movement is the reason for the Suns and Warriors offensive success this season.
Any team trying to lean into the 'heliocentric' strategy is a bad move, IMO. Team defensive schemes are too good at the highest levels to be beaten by one guy.

I watch Payton on the bench (well everyone actually) and don't like that he seems disengaged at times but seeing that interview, dude like he just always looks "super excited"
I'm sure he's a fun guy lol

I believe we could use a Suns/Celtics game day thread, if anyone is feeling so inclined. Who will be brave and step up?
