I briefly tested out a "WYSIWYG" (what you see is what you get) post editor, where you could actually see the bold/italic, colors, fonts, etc. as you typed your post. It's pretty neat. But I ultimately don't think I want to keep it enabled for a few reasons:
- It's a bulky library that makes every thread page load slower for everyone, even if you don't want such formatting which is the most common case.
- I couldn't find any option to enable it just for the "Full editor" mode which is where I think it would make the most sense.
Trying out the "mention" feature: @Superbone @ShelC @Ring_Wanted
You can now mention another poster by typing @ in your post. It should auto-complete the username as you type it.
Nice, @Mori Chu, except it doesn't work for me. No auto complete. First I thought I needed to capitalize the M but I never got a prompt to auto-complete. I tried it for @ShelC and @Ring_Wanted as well with the same results. This is in Chrome on a MacBook.

Yayyyy!! Iโm back in.
I just thought youโd finally got tired of your long time English poster!!
I was going to break out the Rebel England Sun pic again after all these years!
I know I donโt post much but wow was I upset!
Glad Iโm back in.
And thanks as always for continuing the long running Phxsuns.net saga in its ever evolving form!
Might need to refresh browser cache or something. Try pressing Shift-Ctrl-R (Shift-Command-R on a Mac) on this page. Then in the Quick Reply box, type just an @ sign. Wait a sec. It should say, "No match found!" Type 1-2 characters and it should auto-suggest some people whose usernames start with those characters.

I only look at this site on my phone browsers, so maybe that's part of it?
Thanks for fixing this. You're alright despite what yo mamma tells me about you

I think the site just has optimization where it disables the @ mention feature if you clearly have no friends.

I tried this with no luck.

Had issues for the past week or so logging in. Simply wouldn't let me. Randomly let me back on just now.

Seems youtube videos aren't showing up? Is there some embed feature/button I'm not using? Tried the URL and Media Embed but still not working.

You should be able to just paste in the Youtube URL of the video and it'll auto-embed it.
Edit: Hmm, yeah, it isn't embedding. I will look into it this weekend.

Testing potential Bluesky embed feature. Edit: Looks like it works. You can now embed Bluesky posts here, if for whatever reason you prefer to use that site instead of Twitter. I myself am switching to that site and plan to post more links from there as I fill out my friend/follow list there.
