Hey, they've spent 27 years trying to sell us the WNBA, so the league's going to be cramming this tournament down our throats for a while.

I wonder if any of the teams actually give a shit about it.

Players and coaches won't care until the Cup affects the standings/playoff seedings. These are just regular season games in a tourney format. Mike Malone literally took the night off to watch his daughter's volleyball game. That wouldn't happen if it were a playoff game.
