You’re not getting Amen, but Ausar is 90% of Amen, so just get him.

Suns Trade Proposal Net Champion PG, Picks for Kevin Durant

https://heavy.com/sports/nba/phoenix-su ... ade-pitch/
LOL, a "champion" PG, Fred VanVleet. Okay. And Cam Whitmore!! And one of our picks back. What a smorgasboard!

The highlight there is the three 1sts, but it'd be a deal-breaker to me that only one of them is our own 1st back. And the players coming back are very underwhelming in that proposal. Not a huge fan of that deal.

Well it did include 3 total 1sts. It’s not an awful trade, but I wouldn’t be that excited. Switch Whitmore with Eason and switch one of the future 1sts for our 2025 1st and I’d do it.

Haha yep, FVV was literally their backup PG and 7th man that season.

Do you guys remember before we got Chris Paul the rumor was FVV was going to sign with us?

It's starting to concern me that we're going to be up against is with KD and any team we're negotiating with. We can't play it as if there's no way he's back next year.

What’s depressing is realizing the Warriors probably got more for KD as an unrestricted free agent then we’re going to get back. They signed-and-traded him for Russell, whom they traded for Wiggins (and another championship), whom they traded for Jimmy Butler.

Well I don’t know if that’s a completely fair way to evaluate the trade. They got D-Lo for him who was also an unrestricted FA and Brooklyn didn’t even want. If I remember correctly, it had come out that he was signing with Minny(or some other team) and then last minute got flipped into a S&T.

D-Lo isn’t good…that would be like trading KD for Jalen Green and nothing else.

Further context, if you remember, Wiggins was one of the worst contracts in the league when GS traded for him. They even got a 1st to take on that contract(Kuminga was later selected). He obviously got better and that trade looked like an absolute steal, but that’s the benefit of hindsight.

Wiggins and a 1st for Jimmy also needs context as Jimmy had torched all of his value allowing GS to get a steal.

Great moves by GS in retrospect, but we were going to get more for KD than GS just got for Wiggins, so to me it just speaks to GS taking advantage of their situation. Maybe it does make sense to go get the GM who negotiated those first couple moves at least.

That sounds like what I said before: I would not be surprised if James Jones has a new person beneath him, rather than getting demoted. For example, remaining President of Basketball Operations with a new General Manager.

I'm glad they're waiting for this. Before, they said JJ was the point person and that it was maybe already under way.

That's interesting and I am very happy with the last two drafts especially from where we drafted from. Didn't know who the brains were behind it.

He did a great job programming Camara and Dunn. I didn't see too many glitches.
