Ok here’s a hypothetical…Giannis asks out and Houston/OKC proceed to fight over his services. OKC decides they won’t part with Chet or JDub and they turn to us and offer Hartenstein/Dort for KD…How many 1sts would you need to make that trade…OKC has 10 tradable 1sts I believe.

All of them…. I want them all. Jk
Realistically? 4 would be good, but think 3 is more realistic.

4 is what I’d hope for. Dort and Hartenstein are good role players, but there’s no potential for anything more with them. It would depend too on the quality of the picks. If they are just OKCs own picks, I’d want more. I need at least one high quality pick…I believe they have a Jazz pick.

I'll hold my breath when it comes to Ishbia hiring/promoting people already in his lifelong basketball circle because Josh Bartelstein's connection to Bradley Beal has killed this franchise's trajectory more than anything since the Bender & Chriss draft.

We're going to get an all-Michigan front office changeover, aren't we? Isiah, here we come!

I think he learned the night he bought the team that he can’t hire Isiah…but if it wasn’t for the uproar he probably would have by now.
What about Detroit for KD? You’d have to take Harris back, but then I’d want Ausar Thompson as my big piece coming back. Probably either Ivey or Sasser too.
Would KD go there? Cade/KD/Duren is nice. Could bring back THJ/Beasley/Schroeder and hope Holland develops. That’s pretty good.
I don't think KD would want to go there, and I don't see Detroit thinking KD makes sense for them. They still need to get Ivey back, Ausar will continue to develop; there is a lot of room for internal improvement.

James Jones says what?

Is anyone else hoping we actually win the lottery and give Houston the 1st pick? I think it would be a good learning experience
Why didn’t the Heat get more for Jimmy Butler? Pat Riley: “If you want a dissertation on 13 [trades], we will be here a half hour. We were pretty much locked in with one team [Phoenix]. It didn’t happen there. We took the deal we felt was best for us now and in the future. We have young players. We have medium age players in their prime. Our draft picks are in better order than what they were. We have a lot of flexibility. That’s where the blueprint will come this summer.”

I still think we're better off not having gotten Jimmy.
There was another report today that the Heat will try for KD again this summer but won't give up some crazy package of picks for him.
