IF ISHBIA WE TRUST, STAND BEHIND HIM WE MUST?
Am I doing it right? He's going to have some tough decisions if we continue to trend in the current direction. He's not going to be happy to continue on this path although a lot of it (all of it?) was his own doing. We went from a home grown, fun Finals team on the brink of our first NBA championship to this "Big 3" injury prone team with inconsistent effort and not much defense. And then it really hurts that Booker has regressed.
I can't see this working out as constructed. I don't think there's a big trade deadline deal that turns this around. So, where do we go from here? Do we just stand pat and make major changes in the off-season? Do we still try to make a big trade at the deadline and then make major changes in the off-season? There's no way we're stuck in mediocrity for the next 7 years like some have stated, right? RIGHT?!

The other thing is even if we trade KD, we still have Beal. Beal is the real issue roster-wise. No point in trading KD if we're going to have Beal for another year or 2. Part of me wants to see Daddy Warbucks take the hit and buy Beal out just to learn his lesson.

Buying Beal out doesn't save us money on the cap, and he is not addition by subtraction.

Beal will agree to a trade if we trade the other two

I've a feeling Beal will be more open to a trade than we think. He's all smiles for the camera but I'm not convinced he's really enjoyed his time here.
I think it'll be more difficult to find a trade partner willing to take on his contract than it will be to convince Beal to leave town.

Beal did not ask for a trade in his decade at Washington. I think he cares more about stability for his family more than anything on the court.

Weird …. We’d like stability too.

I do think this is true. He may be just as picky if we decide to move him again.

We've been stable for the last year and a half. Consistently underperformed. Very stable.

Everybody derided me when I said Booker was not SuperMax worthy.
I think it’s because of your stance on paying ayton the max….

My position was that both needed to be paid even if it was overpaying. I said we had no choice but to pay Booker the supermax, even though he’s not a supermax player.

Good to see ya JG….
I’d argue Booker is still far closer to his true value than Ayton.

There isn't any argument to be had.

So a player pulling down $50,000,000.00 per year is making around $600,000.00 per game based on 82 games. Apparently, we are expecting too much for the Suns to win some games without KD. I'm thinking the big 2, drawing down $1.2 mil per game, should still be able to win some games. Somebody has some unreasonable expectations. I don't think it is us.

The hamstring issues were another reason it scared me. (Remember KJ anyone?)
