I have no problem with John Paxson. He just did what he was out on the court to do. How does that make a player a villain?

I didn't think Cassell was a "villain" during his time in Phoenix, just a young player that wasn't as good when he didn't have Olajuwon on his team. And I won't even put him in the same breath as Horry. He's been a very successful assistant.

You all have good points. I just remember Cassell making a bone-headed mistake against us when he didn't get the ball over the half court line in an important moment when he was playing for the Clippers.

Bud spoke with Beal and told him he wanted Beal to play a Jrue Holiday role. That didn't sit well with Beal.

Beal absolutely needed to embrace the role of a POA defender and facilitator. The problem is he's not very good at either of them.

Then why would you ask that of him then?
Part of being a good GM or head coach is getting good players and putting them in roles they can succeed in.
The problem is this team had three square pegs as "stars" and about 12 round holes that none of them could fit into.
This team is still left looking for a center, an athletic big forwards, a point guard and better defense. That's a lot of holes to fill. You can't fill them by accumulating one-on-one midrange scorers, no matter how talented they are.

We all though signing Tyus Jones for the minimum was a steal, and it would have been if we needed a Tyus Jones.
On this team however we needed an Alex Caruso or a De'Anthony Melton - a player who is a bulldog defender in addition to not needing a lot of shots to contribute.

Even more that the persistent nagging injuries, what irritates me most about Beal is how he plays the nice guy all the time but on the court he's so clearly bothered by any bit of adversity, and this "report" from Haynes highlights that issue. His body language has been pathetic for the majority of his time with the Suns.
He has poor self awareness of his own performance based value in the league at this point in his career, but it doesn't appear to be an issue for him because he's secured a massive contract with leverage.

Just gonna put this here…I said it a month ago
Think of Bradley Beal…he’s quick, he’s strong(for his size), he’s athletic…couldn’t he have been Jrue Holiday if that’s what he focused on? Wouldn’t we be much better with a 31 year old Jrue Holiday right now?

LOL, I had almost forgotten that we appointed D'Antoni as both Coach and GM for a while there. God, Robert Sarver was such a mofo. Good riddance.

Griffin pushed Banks on MikeD. He seems like the kind of guy who knows how to do the job but might not be any good at it. Thought he had good rosters in NOLA and the injury stuff wasn't his fault. But without Cleveland there's not a lot of success on his resume.
