Wow that’s crazy. I don’t think anyone, especially here, saw this coming. No one. Completely surprising. 🤯

Back the truck up and get rid of them all. Bartelstein and Jones, and the players.

Dunn, Ighodaro and Gillespie can stay.

1. Will this new hire put Ishbia over the coaches salary second apron?

2. What's the over/under on total days the next coach will get?

3. Is Ishbia now forced to look in the mirror and make a self assessment?

Which of the previous three questions is the most ridiculous?

Now I'm wondering if maybe we should have kept Nurkic since it seemed a lot of the problem was issues between the two of them.

Mentioned in the Bud/Jones thread but felt threadworthy. Bud is out after a year, not unexpected. Glad the decision was quick, hope we start fresh with a completely new staff (lookin' at you Fizdale) and get the next one right. I can't think of one thing Bud did right this year. Never seemed to have a handle of anything and got progressively worse as the season went. Another costly mistake for Ish.

Suns fire coach Mike Budenholzer after one season

Gambo says he doesn't expect Mike Malone or Taylor Jenkins to be considered. Sean Highkin who covers the Blazers said he'd heard Billups would be on our radar which may be why the Blazers gave him the extension yesterday.

How many fired former coaches are we paying now? Monty, Vogel, Bud? All 3 still getting checks through next year?

I don't think we're paying Monty. Vogel maybe something is off-set from him getting paid as an assistant?

I think Monty taking the Detroit job for one year helped us out.

Would you trade our 2nd round pick for Willie Green?

I think they want someone who played the game, a younger guy who can actually relate, not a big white stiff.

I think we'd all be happy with Willie Green. He had some success here as an assistant and we dipped after he left.

And a big PLUS is that he was here during our Finals run.

I think he stays, Suns just being used as leverage for a new deal like usual.

37 of the last 40 championship coaches have been white guys. I don't know what difference skin color is going to make.

Nah. No reason to trade a pick for a coach who has had such a poor record in New Orleans. Hasn't really proven he'd be much different than Bud or Vogel IMO
