Billups already had an alleged rape/assault scandal a few years ago, and now accusations of this illegal gambling scheme. Sounds pretty bad.
And Rozier was already in trouble for gambling-related stuff, but it sounds like it went deeper than people knew. I'm still surprised that these guys who make tens of millions of dollars can be bought with a $200k bribe. Is that really all it takes for these guys?

Billups also was leaking information, so he’s not just involved in the poker ring. Did Billups ever get in the HOF? He won’t ever have anything to do with the nba again.

Billups surprised me the most…he was set to keep making tens of millions as a coach…Jontay Porter makes some sense as he never had a pay day. Rozier did make a lot, but his days making millions were about to dry up…May have seen it as his last chance at some easy money.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 3:46 pmBillups already had an alleged rape/assault scandal a few years ago, and now accusations of this illegal gambling scheme. Though Rozier also had 25 million guaranteed this year…so once his contract is voided, that’s gonna be quite a steep price for that 200k
Re: Around the NBA: Week 1 (10/20 - 10/26)
It gets tangled even more because apparently the Heat weren't aware of any investigations into Rozier when they traded for him. Should there have been some disclosure from the Hornets or league? Can the Heat take action against the league for not notifying them about the investigation they made?
Re: Around the NBA: Week 1 (10/20 - 10/26)
Do the Heat get a cap exception if Rozier's contract is voided?
Re: Around the NBA: Week 1 (10/20 - 10/26)
Dunno if this guy has any sort of credibility for the stuff he posted …

Gambling isn't a financial decision for most people.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 3:46 pmBillups already had an alleged rape/assault scandal a few years ago, and now accusations of this illegal gambling scheme. Sounds pretty bad.

Were the Toronto Rangers involved at all?
