I should have added effectively, not just positional. As in, who’s going to stop the scoring wings of the league from feast on our perimeter D. Brooks plays hard, not fast.

As you noted, what just happened with the golf cart incident was pretty sick. If the reports are true, someone who would continue with this kind of behavior two strikes already should have no place in sports. If he didn't have so much money he'd probably be serving jail time.

You can't just believe everything you read especially these days, and especially in a he said/she said scenario between two warring spouses. Unless we have non-AI generated video proof, I'm not going to assume Bridges tried to run over his ex with a golf cart with his kids present.

It does seem both are resorting to doing whatever they can to make the other look bad.

I would normally agree but there is ample precedent in this case, unfortunately. The guy is extremely violent towards his ex wife.

I agree about the silliness of the water thing but that could be (and probably is) his lawyer's call to press charges for it.

Your logic, as usual, is impeccable. I think that both characters involved are highly suspect. Yet, one has a track record of committing physical violence on the other. It's not he said she said at this point. There is a pattern and what she said is entirely plausible, IMHO.

And why did the Suns decide to split the fanbase like this? Yes, sports is important but this is an unforced error.

I'm going to check out until preseason. Character is important to me and has become more important over time, especially after i felt let down by KJ. Every single other Sun is one I feel good about rooting for.

OK, but it wasn't going to be Grayson or Royce either. It'll be the same it was last season. Brooks or Goody will have the headline perimeter assignment, and our success will rely a lot on effective defensive schemes and teamwork.

Do you not agree then that there are levels to shittiness of a person? You don't think there's levels of "this guy smoked pot religiously" or "this guy got in a bar fight" vs "this guy beat the shit out of, gave a concussion to and choked out the mother of his children in front of the children and then had a separate incident where he threw pool balls through her windshield with kids present"? I can't speak for v9 or others. But for myself, I don't demand that players are "saints." I just don't want to use my time and money to support people who commit violent crimes and hurt others. Domestic violence, hitting women, that is one of the lowest most awful crimes a person can commit in my opinion. He really roughed his ex up, you know. A woman probably half his size, with their kid right there next to her, and he's throwing hands at her and putting her in the hospital.

You said it isn't the "real world" to you, but he put a real woman in the real hospital with his real fists. And he is still getting in hot water with her to this day. Fuck this guy. I'm not cheering for that or supporting that. I canceled my league pass; they can get their money somewhere else. That's about as much of a denouncement as you can really give an entertainment product. Maybe I'll be willing to give them any of my money again when they can find it in themselves to clear the team of unrepentant abusers.

I hear what you're saying. But the money I pay to host the site doesn't go to the Suns org. I also really like that we have this place for our little community to talk about the Suns and the NBA. You guys are good friends. I don't want to shut the site down and lose our place to talk. I have no plans to shut this site down anytime in the near future, and if I ever changed my mind, I would talk to folks here to try to find a new owner to transfer it to, to ensure a smooth transition. Nothing to worry about!
