What a well run, veteran play for the potential game winner! Wow!

Its not like he'd be taking that shot here anyway, also we've seen Booker do this before, maybe not stand there for 15 seconds but he's definitely dribble the clock out only to take a bad fallaway jumper.

Practically every team in the league runs that play in that situation. Randle went a little extra as he refused all the screens and really took all the time down before even making a move, but that’s a big meh from me. I’m not sure why teams don’t run more actual plays at the end of games though. I guess because you want to ensure no time is remaining and that’s harder to do with more complexity, but these shots almost never go in.

You want to dribble out the clock when you’re tied. The only problem is that he didn’t hit the rim so the other team still had 0.7 seconds left after the shot clock violation (as a veteran announcer Dave Pasch should have been aware of this).

You guys defending this are whacked. Every team does it but it never goes in? Yeah, keep doing that. You want to dribble out the clock when you're tied? I thought the goal was to win. Weird.

Haha by "dribble out the clock" I meant leave zero time after your shot.
