Problem is we're going to let him dictate where he wants to go which will limit options and the return on him. Should've pulled a Luka and let him know about a trade after it was finalized.

I think the real problem is that the team that acquires him wants assurances that he'll resign with them.

So try to get both Thompson twins?
No…. No more twins, unless it’s cam and Mikal 😂

Kareem got traded, Wilt got traded. Oscar got traded, Dr. J got traded, Shaq got traded....... Devin Booker can be traded too.

You cannot afford the luxury of falling in love with your players when the best thing in the long run is to move them and rebuild. Booker by himself does not move the needle.

First, I assume Durant will probably be moved in the offseason. They should also be looking to clear as much cap space as possible in 2027 when Beal's contract expires. Booker will be 31 and making $61 million, basically the max for a borderline All-Star, which is not what you want to start building around for long-term success.

The Suns need to find a way to acquire young, cheap talent. Either by acquiring draft choices and drafting well or by trading for players who are still on their rookie contracts. As we've seen, collecting high-priced veterans is a great way to put yourself in salary cap hell.

Totally agree…. I really think it’s fiscally the only way out of this mess we’re in. Beal won’t be the worst to rebuild around and like bone has sad… he’s been a good soldier. We can’t keep trading draft picks to fix our mistakes. It’s time to cut the cord and rip it off like a bandaid.

1. We have to trade Booker.

2. We will refuse to trade Booker.

3. We will be ruined until Booker retires.

Devin Booker was a better player when Durant wasn't a Sun. Trade KD, see what happens, trade Booker if you don't trend up. Seems easy to me.

The Suns built a team around Booker that was 2 wins shy of a title. Why are we ruined until he retires?

It's all Book's fault! Ayton was nothing but a professional. Two words: Valley Oop. That is all.

And he couldn’t win it, could he? That was the closest we will ever get with him.

Because he has regressed post-CP3 and he is not an alpha-leader who can take you to a championship. He isn’t even an All-Star anymore.

It’s stunning how this isn’t obvious to everyone. Book=no title. Certainly not with him making the SuperMax.

Booker is not getting traded the season after he set the franchise scoring record, sorry.
Davis was the record holder when we traded him, and that was a time when stars moved a lot less.

People were saying the same thing about post-Shaq Kobe.

Kobe was a perennial MVP candidate. Hardly the same.

And your point is…? My point was keeping Book=no title. And I want a title.

I never liked Booker, even before Ayton. He’s always come across to me as a smug, arrogant person who pretends to be humble and thinks he is better than he is. Now he’s just an entitled “unbothered” brat.

Unironically criticize Booker for being two wins short in the Finals while ignoring Ayton's inability to contain or even match his opponent who won Finals MVP.
