Griffin pushed Banks on MikeD. He seems like the kind of guy who knows how to do the job but might not be any good at it. Thought he had good rosters in NOLA and the injury stuff wasn't his fault. But without Cleveland there's not a lot of success on his resume.
I know he's local but I'm not excited about Griff.

I think it's time to leave the locals alone.

So in additioin to the league's highest payroll and a huge tax bill this year, Ishbia has a total of $84 million to pay his fired coaches.

Counting what he’s already paid?

Vogel was 5 years 31 million and has been paid 2 years, so probably has 20 million left. Bud was 5/50 so has 40 million left. That should put it at 60 million left. Monty had his deal offset because he signed with Detroit so we didn’t pay him anything. Not sure if Vogel has anything offset as an assistant coach.

Better than hiring him as GM.
How about the biggest nightmare as coach/GM?

I feel like I'm watching one of the old disaster movies...Airport 1975...lol. I'm sitting here looking between locked fingers thinking..."What the hell can go wrong next?"...and asking myself, "I paid for this?"

Would you take a female as head coach (Hammon)?

Sure, if she's the best qualified for the job and has all those attributes we've talked about. Hopefully the guys on the team would accept her as well. What's your opinion on this?

I wouldn’t mind a female. They can’t possibly listen to a woman any less than they listened to the last few coaches. I would hope they would respect Hammon, and we know they—or at least Booker—would respect Taurasi. Whether totally serious or not, I like the suggestion from Wally, but hiring Taurasi would seem a little unfair to Hammon, though.

My hope is that the "they" you speak of are no longer Suns next year. I'm expecting huge roster overhaul

I would be ok with either Hammond (experience on the bench) or Taurasi (Phoenix ties). Both are winners and driven.

Imagine if you could get them together!?!?! Hammond as HC and Taurasi as Assistant.

My wife was filling out paperwork this morning before her OBGYN appointment and it asked her what she was using for contraception. I asked if marriage was an option. We both laughed out loud. One of the perks, certainly!
