Amare is not a HOF player, Billups was not a HOF player, the precedence has been set. They'll let anyone in.
Frankly, there are a lot of players who are in that shouldn't be, but they set the bar pretty low when they inducted KC Jones and Frank Ramsey back early on even though they were only bench players on the Celtics' dynasty. Even players like Michael Cooper, Ben Wallace, Joe Dumars Billups, Walter Davis, and Amar'e, who were all excellent players are really questionable to me.
Same with Doc Rivers going in as a coach.

Bob, what do you feel have been the contributing factors as to why the Basketball Hall of Fame has seemingly been that much easier for athletes to be inducted into compared to football and baseball (maybe at least prior to Harold Baines, lol)?
Well the Basketball Hall of Fame isn't as well-defined in that they try to include college, men's and women's professional and international players all in one hall.
And there really isn't defined standard, so each vote decides what that standard is. Also, you have coaches who win a title and stay active for long careers and get in mainly just because of longevity (Al Attles and Doc Rivers come to mind) Also a lack of awareness on the early history of basketball comes into it. Many of the early (pre-World War II) players either had long waiting periods or have just been overlooked. And there was a of of cronyism in the early selection classes - lots of college and AAU administrators and coaches, very few early players.

Dillon Brooks leads the league in rescinded technical fouls. The refs should be penalized for each rescinded tech.
As of early April 2026, Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks leads the NBA with the most rescinded technical fouls this season, with reports indicating at least four of his technicals have been overturned, including his 18th technical foul of the season.
As of March 31, 2026, Luka Dončić had
at least two technical fouls rescinded this season. The NBA notably rescinded his 16th technical foul, which occurred during an altercation with Orlando Magic's Goga Bitadze in March. Another technical was rescinded earlier in the season due to a mistake.
If they trade away the young guys in a deal for a "superstar" I am going to be done with the franchise. Last year I said this if they didn't trade Durant. So they are 1 for 1 so far.

Build around the young guns.
You smelling that giannis stank too? I just feel we’re inserting ourselves into that and have no interest in him now.

Better not. If Giannis were 28, could be a different story.
