SA just systematically dismantled the Warriors tonight in Oakland.

he'll play center, a guy who can shoot from outside.

So our front court is Morrii plus Amare?

How can you say the Morri deal was silly? Kieff is averaging 16 and 7 on 51.7% shooting. If he plays better with Marcus on the time, it's a fine deal.

As much as I am really happy to see how Kieff is playing, if he can only play that way with his brother on the team, it is a bad deal. That is, unless Marcus makes his best games so far this year, into his average game.

I don't think sending Kieff to the bench in favor of Amare gives up much, if anything.

I caught parts of that game. I just love watching the Spurs do what they do. And I live in Golden State's hometown area; I should have been rooting for the Ws. Couldn't help it. But it was a really fun game to watch. Klay Thompson had almost 30 points in a losing effort. Those two teams might just meet up again deep in the playoffs; they've been the West's two best so far.

I love this story. Kobe Bryant now holds the NBA all-time record for most career missed field goals.

That ESPN link is worth it just for the video recap that shows every miss he has along the way. LOL.

Yea I was able to catch the whole game. The Spurs frustrated the hell out of the Warriors. Their ball movement is just so good and that was the biggest difference. Golden State has the tendency to have the ball stick when things aren't going well, espcially with Thompson. I think Kerr has t find a way to get Andre Iguedola more involved and engaged, he has struggled in his bench role so far and passed up some easy looks last night.

Actually I am really happy with the way Marcus's D has improved so far this yr. He did a really solid job on Rudy Gay especially who had his worst game of the yr vs us. I wouldn't call the Morri's deals silly, but whats a little silly is we have to keep both to get the most out of the one we really want. Its weird

My intention for putting that trade scenario out there was to get out from the Morris Bros deals. They're nice players, but role players better suited for the bench. I just don't see Kieff as a starting PF that will get us anywhere. He's putting up OK numbers but he's still somewhat inconsistent. Maybe if we had a really dominant center that played down low he'd look better (like a DHow, Drummondd type) but we don't.

Thank you. You're essentially downgrading at the 3 to keep a less than great player at the 4. That's not going to take you very far.

And let's be clear a few things up here: first Markieff is essentially performing at the the same rate as he was last year; he's just playing more minutes. Secondly, he's not a true stretch 4 nor is he a significant P&R threat. Either or would be more beneficial to the team. Third, I've heard from a few how Markieff has the PF spot covered or is holding it down. If your starting PF averages 6-7 rebounds and plays suspect defense, then no, you don't have the PF covered.

Now, this is all under the assumption that you're trying to contend. If all you're trying to do is put together a fringe or mediocre playoff team, then carry on.

Markieff would be perfect next to Drummond.

Agree with INF and Shel about not only how Kieff is playing, but where he would be at his best. I think he could absolutely be a good starting PF in the league on a great team, but it would take the right team.

Although it is almost never good when you have to qualify people like that, I think Kieff is doing very well this year for us. We just are in such a bad spot to have him be the only truly serviceable 4/5 we have. Len is still a rookie and playing with 1.5 hands. Plumlee is more early 2014 Plumlee than late 2013 Plumlee. And there is no point talking about Shav or Tolliver.

Kobe now owns that record for most missed FGAs. The photo they went with is pretty perfect considering how smug he always look. Seriously, I've never liked an athlete less and that includes Jordan. LINK

Kobe's explanation for his unfortunate record:
Bryant was asked if, in those 13,421 misses, any particular ones stood out. Meaning, any shots he would really, really like back?

"Yeah, all the ones where I’ve had to bail the team out at the end of the shot clock," he said. "It annoys the crap out of me. Kills my field goal percentage."
Nice.

Will we have the cap room to pursue Monroe in the offseason?
