I agree that we should focus on our current and future players. But if you think I am NOT going to shitpost every time KD has a stinker and the Rockets lose, you got another thing comin'. I am going to enjoy this hate-watch, thank you very much!!virtual9mm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 11:48 amEnough about previous players that didn't work out, let's focus on the players we do have. I'm quite excited, actually.

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Small thing, but I think we made a mistake by giving CJ Huntley one of our 2-way deals so quickly. Some good players (Dillon Jones, O-Max Prosper) have been getting waived due to roster crunches and would have made a lot of sense to bring in.
There’s also word that the Kings are looking to move off Devin Carter. I wouldn’t mind seeing if we could get in on that.

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Would love to get Carter but with what … surely even the kings aren’t going to give him up for free?
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Ya…crazy he became far and away the best player in the trade.
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
How is Booker this high already?
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Either that chart includes current deals, or it is extremely wrong. Book has 'only' made about $215M, but has a nice long contract ahead of him.

Ya it’s counting his future earnings, but it still seems crazy high
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
I know this is not news and has been known for a while now. And maybe some of you care less about this than I do. But I think it sucks how much of the coming NBA season will only be available on boutique streaming services like Amazon and Peacock. I have Amazon but not Peacock, and I am not willing to buy Peacock just for one day a week of Monday NBA games. To my eyes, if you look at this list of channels and services needed to catch all the nationally televised games, it's just a mess. You would need network TV (ABC, NBC), basic cable (ESPN), plus two streaming services (Amazon, Peacock) to catch it all. You can get some of these through various bundles and packages, but blech! This seems worse to me than the old way. And none of the games are on the NBA's own supposed TV channel, NBA TV? I guess I'm getting old because this all just seems like a complicated mess and I don't like it.

It's collusion amongst the networks and streamers so they all get paid. That's why I use streaming sites.
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
ugh.. where is the dislike button?
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
I kind of agree with you. There is a much larger conversation here regarding cable and cord cutting that I'm not going to go into. However, related to the Suns, I am not in Phoenix, so I have to resort to league pass and national streams to watch my favorite team. When that broadcast is a fringe service, like Peacock (Peacock sucks.. if it had good original content, and not NBC broadcast quality CRAP then I wouldn't complain), then it hurts the overall vision of the NBA. I won't watch generic NBA games on Peacock. I just won't, the Peacock content outside of the NBA is not good enough to make me subscribe. I did subscribe to NBA league pass on Prime Video (which is good enough outside of NBA games), and relative to YouTube TV, I am not disappointed. It's not perfect (the trick play could be better, and I can't apparently automatically have Suns content show up in my "library" (I have to search for it, ugh), but neither was YouTube TV.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Mon Oct 20, 2025 3:19 pmI know this is not news and has been known for a while now. Anyway, you all that steal NBA content from illegal streams should be ashamed of yourself. How would you feel if someone stole your work? You can justify it however you want, but it is in fact stealing. SHAME! League Pass is reasonably priced at $110 annually. or $1.34 per game for a single team's 82 games.
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
I myself do pay for NBA League Pass. But I almost canceled it this year since I think this will be a really rough season (the first of several).
I am not opposed to loading a streaming site if necessary (such as if I can't get a game to load, or if they black it out in my region) since I do already pay for the content. The local blackouts are so fucking stupid. I get Blazers home games blacked out because I guess as a Seattle resident I could technically drive 6 hours each way and attend the game?? So stupid.

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Well, they don't necessarily want you to attend the game, but rather watch the local broadcast, since they have rights. The Cavs are the local team despite being 3 hrs away (further then the Pacers which are two hrs away), and they use Bally's (is it now branded fanduel?) for local broadcasts, which of course YouTube TV won't carry (I don't blame them). It's very annoying. This is the same company (Diamond now Main Street Sports Group that runs the former FSN Arizona that Ishbia got rid of). I for sure don't mind watching the local broadcast If I could in fact get it.
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
I used to buy League Pass, but the streaming service sucked and the so many games were blacked out. No nationally televised games, and no local games. Where I live, Dallas, OKC, Memphis, and NOLA were all local blackouts.
