He peaked and it's Sarvers fault for matching a max contract instead of trading.
Beal hasn't given us shit since he got here on a $50M contract
Game 1 he had 22/19
Game 2 he had 10/11/4/3/2
Game 3 he had 18/9/3
Game 4 he had 6/17/5/3
Game 5 he had 20/10/1/1/2
Game 6 he had 12/6/1/2/2
Come on. Don't just blindly hate bro. Respect that he was arguably our MVP in the playoff run. CP3 said it himself.
Putting aside egos and human emotions, Beal to the bench is a logical move and a better way to split up minutes and shots for the ‘big 3’. In reality it may make him surly enough to waive his no-trade clause.
How long have we been saying to send Beal to the bench? Also, not sure if this is the right game to bench Nurk (size on Embiid). Not sure Plumlee is any better. I wish he would at least look at the basket every once in a while rather than having all his passes stolen as the defense knows he's always passing back out.
I’m curious…but I don’t think I’d undo the trade. I think the relationship was broken between the suns and DA. We just would’ve had different problems.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 10:36 pmIt’s funny how y’all are so biased against DA that even with the ways things have gone (to the point where Nurkic isn’t even a starter anymore), nobody is even the least bit curious how this team would have done if we made all the same moves (Durant, Beal) except let Vogel coach DA like he wanted to?
In hindsight, every trade Ishbia made in 2023 looks like a bad trade. Getting rid of 5 starters in 3 trades in 7 months was probably not the smartest idea collectively speaking, either.
There's no evidence that DA's failure was due to Vogel not getting to "coach DA like he wanted to." In case you hadn't noticed, he's completely worn out his welcome in Portland, they already have a newer younger better center and basically want DA off their team. He's a bum, soon to be on low-dollar contracts if not out of the league.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 10:36 pmIt’s funny how y’all are so biased against DA that even with the ways things have gone (to the point where Nurkic isn’t even a starter anymore), nobody is even the least bit curious how this team would have done if we made all the same moves (Durant, Beal) except let Vogel coach DA like he wanted to?

EDIT: Okay, I am genuinely confused. Did you forget that Vogel didn’t get to coach DA at all?Mori Chu wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 8:01 amThere's no evidence that DA's failure was due to Vogel not getting to "coach DA like he wanted to." I think it was Indiana that said no to Sabonis/DA…we absolutely blew it not signing and trading DA for Turner. Turner would be a godsend for this team.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 2:01 pmThe mistake we made with DA was not trading him for Miles Turner when we had the chance. Also not trading him for Sabonis either, idk why that never worked out. Him, Book and KD would’ve been a nice big 3. *sigh*
