Not sure why the Hornets would take Nurk and some 2nd for Richards but I wouldn't complain about it. And while he'd obviously help, we shouldn't overvalue him or think he'll make us a contender. He's a backup who other teams' fans pine away for but if you watch him or read what the Hornets' fans say about him, you get why he's a backup and why he's probably available. Bad hands, leaves his feet too much, out of position and gets in foul trouble.
Because we’d be taking Grant Williams off their hands. He’s owed more than Nurk and is hurt

He also sucks and thinks he's good like Dillon Brooks. Id rather eat glass.
Love, Hurts.

Didn't know Williams would be part of the deal. On paper, he's a good player and could be a good fit. I'd be willing to take a chance on him despite his shortcomings.

Richards sucks?
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Richards is fine, nothing especially great but no, Williams sucks out loud.

Man...the trade rules really do suck hard...
Lots of interest in complaining about that. Not lots of interest in discussing how it could be improved. :(

He’s just the contract that works perfectly with Richards…he also tore his acl a month ago, so you wouldn’t get him this year and you might lose part of next year too. He’s just salary filler

Well luckily he’s hurt and can’t play anyways

I confess that I don't know much about Grant Williams. Used to be on the Celtics, right? Wasn't there a time when folks were high on his potential? What has led to his fall from grace (aside from injury)?

He is Dillon Brooks but worse. Takes terrible shots, acts tough, thinks he's a star, flops like a fish, complains constantly. I hate him so much 😆

He stood over KD last year(I think?) and Nurk got into it with him. He’s a PJ Tucker mixed with the dirty antics of Dillon Brooks.

Absolutely, nobody is saying he's a savior. But adding athleticism and removing Nurkic is an obvious improvement. For a second or two, I'd be mre than happy.
Do it!

I couldn't tell. :P I just remember him from his Celtics day when he impressed in the playoffs. But I'll take your word for it. Sounds like he's not playing for a year and a half anyway. I wouldn't sweat it as the deal is mostly about Richards.

Used to be on the Cs and was thought to be a part of their core as a widebody 3/4 shooter. Supposedly fell out of favor in the lockerroom and was signed and traded to the Mavs, who then dealt him to Charlotte in the middle of his first year there. Get the feeling he thinks he's better than he is and his weight's been a concern.

He does like to do a lot of the stuff you want someone to do next to KD…but he’d just be an afterthought to me. Waive and stretch candidate or just a salary to try and trade.
