Game Day: Blazers (2-2) @ Suns (0-4), Wed 11/2/16

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

I'm calling our first win tonight. Brandon Knight thinks we should be winning:
"We can't keep saying 'schedule' or 'age,'" guard Brandon Knight said of the Suns' 0-4 start. "At some point, we just have to do what we're supposed to do and the wins will come. You have to be consistent and continue to be positive, and it will fall in place."
At least we are league leaders in one thing. We are leading the league in fouls at 29.3 per game.

Go Suns!!!

They'll start letting us play defense like the rest of the league at some point.

Who is watching this and who is watching game 7?
Go Suns!

Thanks for making the Game Day threads! And side-thanks to carey for the great news / around the league stuff each week. You guys are the best.

I don't care much about baseball, so I will probably watch the Suns game fully, except for maybe tracking the baseball score on the side a bit just to see who wins. I do think the Blazers are overrated and beatable, and they just ran a track meet against the Warriors last night. I think we should be able to keep pace with them. Good bet that we'd get our first win tonight, though with such a young roster anything is possible.

I don't care much about the outcome; I just want to see Warren keep up his sizzling run, want to see Booker play well (is he back?), and see the rookies get lots of minutes. I have liked what I have seen out of all 3 rookies for the most part; let them play.

As little Tucker and Knight as possible, por favor.

Same here. My dad is from Cleveland so I've spent most of my life having Cleveland as my 2nd favorite team in all sports after Arizona sports of course. Being a Browns fan as my number two team is just that. Dookie. Was cool seeing the Cavs pull off the comeback last season and win it all. Chicago is in the same boat sporting the same comeback (down 3 games to 1) that the Cavs pulled off in the NBA Finals. The irony.

I used to be a die hard Cubs fan when I was on the road in the midwest in the 80s. WGN was everywhere so you kind of naturally become a Cubs fan. The strikes soured me on baseball and I don't really pay much attention these days but, I will be pulling for the Cubs. Their drought is longer than the Suns.

Heh. My dad is from Illinois, so same thing with the Cubs for me. He did become a Diamondbacks fan after we got a team. He's not with us any more but I'm rooting for the Cubs in his honor. Kluber has been unhittable though.

It was really tough Monday night, I watched the World Series, the Suns, AND the World Series of Poker.

I feel like Benders lateral mobility could be useful tonight against Lillard's perimeter game. If we can force Liilard into contested 2s and run him off the 3 point line we will have a better chance. If we cant do this without putting him on the foul line we could have another OKC type game. I am still waiting to see learn to control momentum better. This is the type of game that Crabbe could go off in if they forget about him and he gets hot.

Warren continues to impress me with his active defense.

Took a break from world series to see the Suns wearing their fourth different uniforms in five games. Have yet to wear the home whites.

I'll gladly eat my words and say Tucker has looked better than he has all year. Active hands on defense and active on the glass. I've seen him dive to the floor already on two occasions.
