Game Day: Rockets (11-4) @ Suns (5-10), Thurs 11/16

Post by Superbone »

Time: 8:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: TNT

This one could get out of hand in a hurry. It'll be interesting to see how the Suns defense does in this one. The Suns also are reportedly having some illness issues, Booker included. I thought I heard McD say on AZ radio that Monroe may be in uniform tonight.

Go Suns!!!

If Booker doesn't play, or plays in a diminished state, this could get really, really ugly. I wonder what kind of reception Mike D will get from the Suns fans tonight.

It will be difficult to tell, considering that TSRA usually has more fans of the visiting team.

Make Harden go off for 50, but don’t let him get any assists. Exactly the way teams played us with Nash. DONT LET THEM HAVE 3’S!!

lets hope our team (other than the usuals) can hit the broad side of a barn this game. And I’m not sure if I’m in the minority, but I’m excited to see what Monroe can do, if indeed he does play. It would be great for him to force Capela into hard guards in the paint.

This team has never really played with a post presence before. Won't surprise me if it takes a while to figure out how to use him.

Agreed. As long was he is fairly quick and decisive when he get's it in the post, I think that would help with the transition. Our other bigs are a mess when they post up. Our best post up player is Booker. It's almost automatic when he's matched up on a guard in the post.

We throw the ball to Len in the post all the time. Just do that, but with Monroe.

Like Shelc said somewhere else, we could give Bender some post ups, too.

Probably tired too. Tired always follows sick.

Let’s all pray Booker’s sickness helps him play as well as his idols did when they played sick.

We have no business winning this game. Just try to not get embarrassed on national TV.

+1. Though we can use this as a training tool on how to (try to) win against the elite teams.
Strategy is key.
This game will determine, FOR ME, in limited fashion of coarse, Triano’s future for this team.

Can he make the strategic moves to get his team to succeed.

I'm not ready to decide anything and likely won't be for a while. Triano has barely had time to practice with them. I believe this week were the first full home practices with the team since the switch.

It'd be great if that was Triano's pre-game pep talk.

And even then, they weren't 100%, with reports of illness abound.
