Paris Olympics 2024

Post by Nodack »

Paris Olympics 2024

Not sure if anyone is going to watch. We went through all the different sports and set the ones we like to record. The opening ceremonies are starting tonight and they are outside, not in a stadium for the first time ever and unfortunately they expect an inch of rain to fall sort of ruining the festivities.

There is also the threat of violence and sabotage. Fires were set at four locations on the cables that run their high speed trains and has shut down the trains causing travel problems.

USA gymnastics is set to kick ass with old lady Simone Biles hopefully not having the twisties this time and dropping out.

I'll be watching. I also set up to watch many sports and the opening ceremonies. USA's first basketball game is on Sunday.

It’s actually already on. It’s cloudy but no rain so far.

I don't get it. Is it tape delayed or something on NBC? YouTube TV tells me the opening ceremony airs at 7:30 pm.

Yes, Paris is 9 hours ahead, so the live opening ceremonies were this morning and they are rebroadcasting them for prime time here.

Well, that sucks that I can't get them live. At least from what I can tell on YouTube TV.

She sure did. Had Kelly Clarkson in tears.

She was fantastic but the highlight for me was the performance of Lennon's Imagine.

Hey man when you’re in disability and have watched everything, this was fresh lol. Yes I even went down a dark path and watched jersey shore. Those were dark times.

The opening ceremony was very unique. Never been done outside a stadium before. My wife got her best friend to come over and watch it. Her friend said she hates opening ceremonies and didn’t really want to watch it. They turned it on and her friend was mesmerized by it and loved it. It was a little long and drawn out for me. Exciting parts mixed in with long parts. Like Superbone said. Fast forward is your friend. The laser show on the Eiffel Tower was real cool.

I missed it. According to X, a lot of the posters on there said it was a disgusting transgender festival appealing to sexual predators and corrupting the minds of the youth in the world. Some claimed it was sanctioned by Harris, Biden and the woke leftist mafia. Glad I missed it.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

This is an amazing photo.

I don’t even know what that means. Gender reveal competition? A competition to reveal your gender? Sounds like a bunch of flashers.
