We have gotten to the point that there’s no one else I’d rather see with a catch and shoot opportunity from 3 than Tyus. I do love the Grayson looks too.

I think if they're wide open, I'd still rather see KD or Book take that shot. I also really like Royce and feel like he gets into a nice flow of making big 3s. But Tyus has gotten a lot more confident in his shot and that is helping us.

I looked up the numbers so far for catch and shoot:

His shots aren't bad either.
Split likes em lil chunky. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that
Suns- Jared Vanderbilt, Hood-Schifino(waived immediately)
Nets get their 1st for DFS and an expiring contract
Lakers actually save 200k from this deal. Lakers get DFS and also get a back up center to fortify their frontline to help AD. They give up Vanderbilt but he’s literally been hurt, not playing all year and I’m not sure when he even comes back. Edit: I think they said he gets reevaluated in January.
Suns give up no picks! Vanderbilt is damaged goods but if and when he’s healthy, his defense will greatly help the suns. We get a 3.5 million trade exception from this trade as well I think(2nd for Yabusele?). You can use JO or Grayson plus our picks to find a Nurk replacement. JO and 2nds for Nick Richards? Most importantly, it gets Nurk off this team.

and most importantly... it gets Nurk off this team. Just don't think you can state this enough lol.
My worry is we lose Dunn or Oso in a Butler trade....and I think we'd end up regretting that...
I hope the Suns are not that stupid, but fear they are.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."

I thought the 2nd apron forbade us from packaging players together in any trade. Am I understanding it correctly? If we -are- allowed to package other players, this is exactly the sort of sweetener Miami would ask for. Unlikely that we could get Butler without giving up at least one of our rookies, which would be a real shame.
Can't aggregate players in the trade, so we can only trade one player at a time - which is actually a nice safety measure because I'm sure the Heat would ask for a guy like Dunn and we'd be tempted to throw him into a deal.
