I can only hope this is threadworthy, but the last Suns game that I attended in person was Game 6 of the 1993 Finals

Ever since I joined the .net in early 2003, I have sat on this terrible and terrifying truth.
I can still see Danny Ainge leaving John Paxson, he apparently told the Press later that he was hoping to foul Horace Grant to send him to the line.
And yet, what did Danny boy say in the time out huddle beforehand? No threes.
I still feel like we came the closest, of all five teams Jordan faced, to taking him to a game 7 in the finals.

That’s a heavy burden to carry.
I’d say it’s time you get back to another game

It's probably been 15 years since I've been to a game. I just found that I enjoy watching them at home just as much because I don't really enjoy crowds that much. And the whole thing is an assault on your senses - there's no downtime.
Plus it's not like it was at the Coliseum when I started going to games - you spend $15 and have great seats, watch the postgame show with Al and a player interview, and then head to the player's enterance and get some autographs afterwards.

Should've thrown a shoe at Paxson.

My last - and only - game was during a trip to the US in December 1996, when we lost in overtime to the clippers at Anaheim.
From memory it was just before we traded for Jason Kidd.

No rod williams for the -12 and a one point over time loss…. Ugh. Rough. Nash with the DNP…. Man, what a way to treat a future mvp winner lol.

I went to Game 5 of the 2021 NBA Finals between the Suns and Bucks. I watched Giannis and Jroo take that game from us to go up 3-2 and take that title from us. Spent a decent amount of money on those tickets to get my heart torn out. :'(

That’s rough too…
I feel ya…. We went to game 5 of the World Series and saw the rangers win it on our field… at least we blocked them from the pool.

I was at game 7 when the Diamondbacks won the World Series. That was a great time!

I went to game 2 of the 2021 NBA Finals with my brother. What a time to be there. Up 2-0 on the Bucks. This is our year! We are finally going to win a NBA championship! Speaking of getting one's heart torn out, back in San Diego, watching game 4 from the comfort of my then home, I watch as we go back and forth in the fourth quarter only to lose in a tightly contested battle and have the series tied back up. Heart pain ensues and a couple hours later I am in the hospital after enjoying my first ever ambulance ride, having a heart attack and getting a stent placed in my left anterior descending artery, AKA, the widow maker. Good times!

Should have sent sarver the medical bill.
Glad you’re all good and it didn’t take you out.

Grateful that you survived the Sarver era, champ. How's the ticker these days?

Better than ever! I used the event as a wake up call and have since gotten into great shape and dropped all the extra pounds. I just did a stress test the other day with my new Phoenix cardiologist and passed with flying colors.

This sounds vaguely familiar, but I can’t place it. Did a player throw a shoe at another player/the ball in a game?

Took my wife to the Game 4 Suns vs Nuggets Western Conference Semifinals back in 2023. Denver Nuggets 124, Phoenix Suns 129. The famous game Ishbia held the ball and got into it with Jokic.

It wasn't the last Suns game I've been to, but one of my favorite games that I attended was Dan Majerle's last game before his retirement. I was a student at the UofA, and halfway through the day, I told myself that I just had to get there for Thunder Dan. So I bought a ticket on a shuttle service to Phoenix (that was PAINFULLY slow) and got there with just a couple minutes till tip-off. Such a fun game! And the crowd energy was awesome and seeing all the tributes the team had for Thunder Dan was great. Then I hopped back into a super late shuttle ride back to Tucson... I think I got back like at 2 a.m. or something. It was totally worth it.

You went to that game alone? We had a phxsuns.net (no dash) GT at that game!
How many “crazy range” attempts did it take before he hit?

I had been to other games through my work or one of our vendors but that was the one and only game I was able to take MEE to. Her favorite player was always Dan. It was hard to get her out of the house and we had to plan and hope that her health didn't flare up to make it so we couldn't go. It was hard on her still but one of our most memorable moments together.
