Thanks for the threads. I was curious about the "Players who can destroy an NBA team" but it's behind a paywall. I fully expected to see KD and Beal on it but they weren't pictured but I also couldn't read the article.

In other words, “You don’t have to worry, I’m not going to be like Mat Ishbia and get new owner syndrome and screw up a contender.”
If only we could have gotten an owner like him.

Are you ever happy with this team? I would take Ishbia as an owner over Sarver every time. The team has a better future now than when Sarver was the owner.

Easy to say when you just won the championship and have a top contender this year…what would he do if Boston lost last year and was struggling to get out of a play-in spot this year?

Does it? I don't miss Bobby Saver, but, are you sure this is a true statement?

I’d take Ish over Sarver too because Sarver is an awful human being, but how do you like our future? In terms of draft capital and young talent, we have one of the barest cupboards in the league. We also have an owner who says flat out that he doesn’t care about the future because he wants to try to see the game today.

I don't think he'll ever get past trading Ayton and that will continue to shade all opinions whether he knows it or not. My honest opinion. Nothing personal to Jeremy. I like Jeremy.

I think I could name 10-12 teams I wouldn’t trade places with. We’re not in great shape, but a lot of you over exaggerate the hole we are in.

At least Ishbia cares about the now and is willing to spend the money to try to build a team. Sarver drove this team right into the ground and left it there for a decade because he wasn’t willing to spend any money or place any value in the draft.

Ish doesn’t place any value in the draft either. That’s not inference, that’s straight from the horse’s mouth.
I’ll give Ish credit for spending, but he doesn’t spend wisely, and judging by his recent quote he seems disinterested in changing his ineffective approach.

I didn’t say I wanted Sarver. I said I wanted someone with an attitude like Chisholm.
As far as being happy with the team, why would I be happy with zero championships?

Why don't we wait and judge him by his future actions before we spew gloom and doom. You act like he's the devil.

I think the right approach is somewhere in between. It's fine to give Ishbia some space to make amends in the future, but so far his time as Suns owner has been very spotty, and I think it's completely fair to call him out and criticize him for that. I don't think we need to "wait and judge him by his future actions" when we now have multiple years and many interviews and quotes and insider articles by which we can already judge his past and present actions.

It’s unfair to judge him by past actions and by what he has said his future actions will be? You’re saying that maybe he doesn’t really mean the idiocy he just spewed and we should wait to see if he acts in a manner consistent with that expressed philosophy, as he always has?
I didn’t make up the garbage in my signature. Those words came out of his mouth. A week ago.

Caps not wrong for his critique and ish deserves every bit coming his way. He made grandiose comments about things and any backlash is on ish. What once looked like an optimistic future has quickly been ruined by poor transaction and asset management. There’s no quick fix for the issues we have and the best way forward is to stop dumping assets to fix our mistakes.
If we go full rebuild I wouldn’t mind going for a youth movement and finding a college coach to take over and coach them. Go get the Hurley brothers and turn them loose.

I had full faith in Ish until he wussed out at the trade deadline and let KD dictate his own terms at the detriment of the organization. KD should not be on this team right now.
