Game Day: Suns (6-5) @ Mavericks (3-8), Wed 11/12/25

Post by Superbone »

Time: 6:30 pm AZ (5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET)
Place: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
TV: AZ Family 3TV/NBALP

Suns go into Dallas the day after GM Nico Harrison, the architect of the Doncic trade, was finally let go. What will the fans have to chant about? This will my first time really watching Cooper Flagg. Let's hope the Suns continue to pile onto the Mav's misery, Kathy Bates style.

On the one hand, I want to see these teams full strength to see how we match up while we're clicking. On the other hand, let's pad the win column a bit before we hit a tough stretch in 2 weeks when we see OKC, Minny, LAL, Denver, Houston.

I wouldn't overlook this Mavs team. They're much bigger than we are and they'll have the dead cat bounce going for them. Not an easy matchup for us.

They are bigger, but without AD and Lively it’s not the same. They also have no ball handling and limited shooting…our full court defense should cause a lot of turnovers.

I think the risk is a bench/role player having a big game - Naji Marshall hitting four 3s or DLo coming off the bench for 25.

FWIW I really like the Mavs retro jerseys and colors.

What a run by the Suns to end the 1st! Was that a 12-0 run? Suns up 30-28.

Yea strong close to the quarter. Sloppy to start, a lot of missed shots and TOs but the bench came in and we got it together. Kinda similar to the last game where I thought the starters were flat and the bench brought some juice and started knocking down shots. Nice that we're a solid 9 deep with CG, Goodwin, Dunn and Richards off the bench.

Dillon Brooks needs to pass once in a while.

Nice defense!

They should go back to their old logo too.

Wow Flagg is an ugly dude. Hadn't really followed him in college or the NBA. Stupid haircut, terrible mustache.

Cooper Flagg's going to probably be a pretty decent player but they hyped him like the next league changing player from the gun. Nah.

Naji Marshall always knows how to light us up.

No other real threats from the Mavs right now. Not sure why they went away from Brandon Williams but I'm happy they didn't
