When do we get KD?
When do we get KD?
Talk amongst yourselves.
Follow up question. If we do get him, what players do we have to give up in that particular trade? That is, don't include Ayton if that were to happen in a separate deal.

Re: When do we get KD?
I think we get him. I think the trade will probably end up being Mikal plus contracts(probably Saric and Craig)and 4-5 picks for KD. I do think something from an Ayton deal will be included(maybe a player, but most likely a pick)
Re: When do we get KD?
That's true that maybe the Ayton domino has to fall first and something acquired from said trade could be included.

Re: When do we get KD?
I actually think some crazy stuff might happen.
First, Kyrie is traded to the Lakers for Westbrook and filler.
This really pushes KD, but the Nets are now looking to tank, so they take back a collection of expiring contracts and draft picks from a 3-team deal with Indiana, where Ayton goes to Indy and KD to Phoenix. Best part is that we keep Bridges.

Re: When do we get KD?
That would be the dream scenario. If we keep Mikal and land KD, it almost doesn’t matter how we fill out the rest of the roster, that’s an incredible top 4.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 12:32 pmI actually think some crazy stuff might happen.

If we can get KD and keep Mikal, I'd be ecstatic.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 12:32 pmI actually think some crazy stuff might happen.

Re: When do we get KD?
The negotiations aren't really going anywhere due to Brooklyn's apparent lack of interest in Ayton. The Suns will have their full attention on KD once Ayton's situation is resolved.

Re: When do we get KD?
The Nets will refuse to trade him until during the season, and we get him for expiring contracts/filler plus picks. No Bridges, Johnson, or Ayton included.
Just my random guess at the moment.

Re: When do we get KD?
That doesn’t seem smart by the nets. I get they want to get the most they can for KD but they need to realize their contention days are over. It’s weird they want to try and compete still.

I think there's a fair bit of ego and job security going on with Sean Marks. Not that I really fault him for it...

Re: When do we get KD?
Ya true he went all in on the KD-Kyrie-Harden team and crashed and burned with them.
Re: When do we get KD?
If we could get KD and somehow snag Keldon Jonhson from the Spurs for Ayton I'd be over the moon.
Re: When do we get KD?
I do feel like the Spurs were the better Ayton location. I think we could’ve got Poeltl/a wing/and a pick…but it seems they don’t really want Ayton.

Actually, if he waives his no-trade clause, the timing (January 15) might work perfectly for when Brooklyn falls apart.
