It may sound like semantics, but I think he should know damn well where the young guys are at. He should play them to help them grow, not to evaluate.Superbone wrote:I think you're taking it the wrong way. I think he's just saying they need more real NBA game time to evaluate where they're at. Yeah, I'm not feeling you. We should be evaluating everybody all the time. That's how you get better as a team and make adjustments and figure out who plays better with who. Practice is one thing. NBA game experience is another.O_Gardino wrote:It may sound like semantics, but I think he should know damn well where the young guys are at. I think The Starters are pretty good, actually. They're a little unprofessional and casual, but they have a lot of enthusiasm and energy, and each member of their group seems like a genuine person and NBA fan and not somebody trying to project a certain image or be fake for the camera. Their weekly "The Drop" podcast, as well as their weekly Tuesday Twitter show, are both good watches. I avoid their NBA TV show because I think the podcast format is better for them. Subscribe to The Drop podcast on your mobile phone and listen to it every Friday when they post it. That's a good hour of NBA content.

I'd say it's more like 35 minutes of NBA content and the rest is random stuff, but they kind of grew on me so I don't really mind.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I think The Starters are pretty good, actually. Watson does not have the experience as a coach to talk as much as he does (or with the transparency he is attempting) to the media. It really shows his lack of maturity as a coach. I think that is something that he will learn.Superbone wrote:I think it's obvious that it's coming from upper management.Indy wrote:OK, good point. I would like to see Knight increase his value for Draft day and save mileage on Bledsoes knees. It would make sense to bench Eric but maybe they are concerned that Knight will screw up our youngsters? I have not really understood this seasons strategy all year so that not new.Split T wrote:From everything I've seen, Tyson Chandler seems to genuinely want to be here and relishes the opportunity to help out our young core. I imagine he has been fully supportive of his benching, although I hope we let him play from time to time.
I wonder if Dudley will be benched again when bender gets healthy? I'd also like to see us give Bledsoe a few games off and let knight start in his place. Preferably against the Lakers, so if he's terrible, we'll be rewarded with ping pong balls

but by enthusiasm do people mean the annoying way the guy says 'hello sweet world' at the start
I find a lot of this stuff is just opinions, not really insight

Looks like we inquired about Ognjen Kuzmić. He has no NBA out. Maybe we were close to moving one of our C's at the deadline.

It has been 3 weeks. Hopefully he is back soon. I think we will see a lot more drives to the basket out of him without all the vets to defer too.

It would not be the end of the world if they rest Bender until the summer league. Let him heal, and work on strength and conditioning in the meantime.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

I am worried about our draft pick.
We seem to be playing better since we traded Watson's boy, benched his assistant coach while sitting McDonough's mistake.

What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.
