Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
Well at least the Lakers have ended up with the biggest backcourt in history. LeBron at 6'9'' and 250# and Luka at 6'6" and perhaps as much as 270# That's a quarter ton of starting guards.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
A straight up trade of Beal for Butler? Sure, why not. Don't see any real upside for Miami but if you can get it done, get it done. My problem with all of this is we had a bunch of guys who played well together at a high level in 2022. We traded some of them and a bunch of draft picks for "better ...

Re: THE PLAY MUST JUSTIFY THE PAY
So a player pulling down $50,000,000.00 per year is making around $600,000.00 per game based on 82 games. Apparently, we are expecting too much for the Suns to win some games without KD. I'm thinking the big 2, drawing down $1.2 mil per game, should still be able to win some games. Somebody has some ...

Re: Split said signing Tyus Jones was very threadworthy. Welcome to the thread!!
I don't ever want to be in a negotiation against Matt Ishbia. That man knows how to get what he wants. "We don't need no stinkin' point guards. Why would we take the ball out of the hands of our scorers?" :? Then he and Mr. Jones go out and get the 2 best point guard solutions available on the ...

I have no idea what can or should be done given the various restrictions the team is up against.

I love Beale but nobody is trading for our 3rd best player and taking on the 7th highest salary in the league.
Of course we can hope that BB will give up millions of dollars to bail us out, just as we all would do if our places were switched.

Re: 2024 Suns Offseason: Where do we go from here?
The notion that playing a point guard means taking the ball out of the scorers' hands is ridiculous on it's face. Getting the ball to scorers in position to score is the job description of a point guard. Some teams manage effective ball distribution without a specific player being the floor general ...

It's more likely Phoenix as a sports town is cursed.

Re: 2024 Suns Offseason: Where do we go from here?
This team should have been dominant at least occasionally. I don't remember them dominating anybody. You could argue they dominated Minnesota but we now know that was vapor. The problems this team had in October they still had 2 nights ago. They kept selling us on, "Well the Big 3 has not had enough ...

Everyone on the roster kept doing this kind of overpassing all season. Unselfish to a flaw. So bizarre. It was only fitting that the same thing basically ended the season. https://streamable.com/wx27mh Of the many frustrating things about this season, this is the most frustrating. It was a tendency ...

I don't see the Suns winning unless Booker has a monster game. I don't see Booker having a monster game. Re: 2024 Playoffs: Suns-Timberwolves Round 1 News Thread
It's not about the PG. We can't defend a statue. Yeah, I don't know why Frank doesn't just tell them to play better defense. ;) We all know playing defense in the NBA is about making the effort, being in your stance, staying low, keeping your hands up, keeping your head on a swivel. One problem is ...

Re: 2024 Playoffs: Suns-Timberwolves Round 1 News Thread
As a franchise we have been blessed with some of the best point guards to play in the NBA for the last 30 years at least. I haven't been on the "We need a PG no matter what" bandwagon. I was anxious to see what point-book or point-beal could do. I figured they could figure it out. Now I know they ...

Re: 2024 Playoffs: Suns-Timberwolves Round 1 News Thread
This is the one I want to focus on: "6. Lack of chemistry…they still look like they’ve never played with each other at times." It's almost like negative chemistry. Since the earliest games everyone defers to someone else. Almost like they are trying to avoid making any mistakes but play so ten ...

I won't be watching this team anymore this season. Our stars gave out a golden shower on fan appreciation night. We need to trade Booker and Durant, carefully, so we get whatever value is there for them. Booker's terrible games at the worst moments across a few years show he is not the guy to bring ...

Can you imagine Kobe or MJ responding with "Chillin'" after a loss like that? Ishbia has more work to do now than when he bought the team. We probably need to keep Beale because of his contract and I like him better than KD or Book anyway. At least Beale occasionally sounds like a responsible leader.

Re: At this point, where is your level of care/concern for our team? In the present, as well as moving towards the futur
I'm concerned because I don't know why they continue to play like crap with only brief flashes of competence. I wasn't too concerned for the first half because Big-3-Injuries and all that. But I was bothered because ALL these guys we brought in to help, (except for Grayson, and to a lesser extent ...
