Man Chet sucked,
If they had KD they would've won the trophy tonight. They should seriously consider KD for Chet

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs

What a great win for the Pacers. Pushing this OKC team to a Game 7 is a real accomplishment. It will be hard for them to win it on the road on Sunday, but this is really all you can ask of them, giving themselves a real chance. In one game anything can happen.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft

A bit off topic, but I have come to really hate traded pick swaps. It makes everything so complicated, especially when the swaps get re-traded. It reminds me of the subprime mortgage crisis of 2008 where banks would sell mortgages and resell them over and over. I worry that it basically leads to a ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

Maybe they really want Dick? And they are trying to find a way to fit him in? It will be a long and hard process, and Toronto will ask for a stiff price, but I bet we will be able to erect a deal for him. I for one would love to have a player with his smooth stroke and ball-handling. Someone who ...

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News

Who are you taking: Amare in his prime or Ayton from 2021-2022 season? Ayton for sure—better defense and rebounding, which is what I want from a big. Plus much more efficient offensively. This take is just wild. Exactly what year(s) constitute Amare's prime are debatable; he had several exceptional ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

Or just fucking trade him wherever, who cares what he wants? I think there's a common misunderstanding about this. It isn't that we are treating Durant as if he had a no-trade clause, only considering trading him to teams he loves and wants to play for. It's more from the other teams' side, like ...

Re: 2025 NBA Draft

If we do the Toronto deal and get #9 and RJ Barrett instead of Quickley, that's your sign that we are drafting Jase. They wouldn't want both Jase and Quickley.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft

I would bet $20 that they acquire a pick in the 9-12 range and then draft MSU's Jase Richardson without doing any workouts of other players in that range.

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

I like Claxton. I hope this rumor turns out to be true.

I was just checking his stats. 10.3 / 7.4 / 2.2 and 56.3% FG. A lowlight is his .513 FT%, oof.

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

Am I missing something here? Why aren't we calling Memphis to offer them KD? They have our 2026 1st which would be of great value to get back. Something like KD for JJJ, KCP or whoever else as salary ballast, and 2026 1st?

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

If we actually want to win, I'm not sure we could do better than Gobert. He is still an excellent defensive center, and he would go a long way toward solving our rebounding problems by himself. Here are his stats from last season; 12.0 ppg on 67% shooting (!), with 10.9 reb and 1.4 blocks. https ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

I think if they want to be competitive next year Poeltl, Quickley and the #9 pick is a pretty good start, especially if you can add a couple of big forwards in the draft or by trading Allen or O'Neale. That would leave them with - F - Ryan Dunn, Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale C - Jakob Poeltl, Nick ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

Beal is still good…he was an awful fit and we tried to change him into what we wanted him to be too much and he resisted. He was actually still the one who adapted his game more than the other 2 stars…that plus benching him and trying to trade him all season understandably didn’t sit right with him. ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

In case you want to look up stats on Quickley or Barrett: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/q/quickim01.html https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/barrerj01.html Quickley is averaging 17.1 ppg on .420/.378/.867 splits, 5.8 ast, 3.5 reb in 27.8 mpg. Not bad though the overall FG ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

Whatever it takes, whatever it costs. Not my money, that's the cost of bad decisions. For me when it comes to Beal, I would just rather eat his whole $50m for 2 years and then get it completely off the books, rather than have $20m cap hit on the books for 5 more years. Let's shorten the window ...

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs

OKC now up 3-2. The Pacers almost came back despite Haliburton clearly not being 100%, but OKC held them off. I hope Indy can win Game 6 on their home floor to force it to 7; this Finals has been really fun to watch.

It feels like the Pacers blew the title by losing Game 4 at home. OKC is up 59-45 here at the half in Game 5.

Maybe Beal will still be on the Suns next season.
I have always thought this was the most likely outcome. We won't be able to find a good trade to get rid of him, and it's too much money to just buy him out. So I think he'll be back.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

For as great as I think KD is, he is a bit of a ball-stopper for us. I don't know if the blame falls on him, or on the coaching staff, or some combination of that. Not having true point guard played a huge roll there. Tyus Jones is a pretty good distributing PG with an excellent assist-to-TO ratio ...
