Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
Speaking of…we have 197 million committed for 2025-26 season with only 4 players

With the cap increases that will be way better shape than we are in now.
EDIT: Or with smoothing, at least about the same.

Lol, I got excited at first, but then I realized that I was thinking of Isaiah Livers. Todd has been awful. This is a win for Washington. Goodwin is a win for the Suns.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!
PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
Todd's a project with a nice shooting touch, good size and athleticism at the forward spot. I wouldn't call it a "win" for the Wizards just by throwing him into the deal.

He's this year's Gabriel Lunberg or Ty-Shon Alexander.

He’s cheaper than a vet min though

Todd has more potential than those guys, but Bazley is better and he was never given a chance. The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:29 amHe's this year's Gabriel Lunberg or Ty-Shon Alexander.

New coach now though.
Lowe mentioned that we might see the suns overpay their own free agents that they have bird rights for. Might even try to match their salaries to what the different exceptions will be to keep them as trade pieces moving forward. Mentioned Jock, Biz, Torrey, and Bazley specifically.

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
He was a waste of a roster space for them. He even struggled in the G-League.
Maybe he can show something in the summer league, if the trade can get finalized in time for him to play, and if Jones will waive his minimum age requirement.
If we had any sort of track record of positive player development in recent years, I could see this as a potential positive.

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
I think Todd's got a better offensive touch, Bazley's got more potential as a defender. But with some of these guys, particularly the "project" bigs who skip college, they look like rec league players who get a lot off on athleticism or have tunnel vision doing one specific thing they're good at without really knowing how to play a complete game. It's tough to develop those guys who aren't well rounded basketball players to begin with.INFORMER wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:48 amTodd has more potential than those guys, but Bazley is better and he was never given a chance. The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:29 amHe's this year's Gabriel Lunberg or Ty-Shon Alexander.

It’s like living in a whole new reality.
So it’s gonna be Jock, Biz, Torrey, and Bazley for Dame?

Yep. He should be the number one priority out of those guys. Craig a close second.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 11:09 amJock should be a no-brainer IMO.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:52 amNew coach now though.

It totally feels like we’re cheating with Ishbia as our owner. Lol.

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
The guy hasn't even played a minute in a Suns uni and we are already predicting that he is going to hold us to ransom in some messy breakup in 2 years time. Can we not just enjoy the fact that we now have 3 elite scorers on the roster and see how things play out?INFORMER wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 9:55 amNot really the point, Jeremy.
Who cares if things go south and Bradley Beal forces the Suns to make a trade like the one Washington just did? I care.
