I'm not worried about Ayton and Booker having the same behavior and attitude as Shaq and Kobe.
I hope you are correct. However everyone is talking about 20 & 10 over and over again for Ayton. I just hope the rest of the guys stay involved in the offense and we do not just force feed Ayton so he can get his points.
Agreed. I hope Kokoskov's offense is predicated around ball movement to the open guy. Our offensive scheme has been so bad the last few years that I'm praying to finally see some fun, winning basketball again.

If we are willing to throw a lot on the table, What’s people’s preferred realistic perfect storm?

Is it Ayton and Young?
Doncic and Bamba?
Ayton and MB3?
Doncic and JJJ.
This would be a great draft. The mice thing imo is that they can play with anyone. They aren't going to be limited by fit or who could compliment then. Let's face it, I love Booker, but in order for him to be really successful, he needs other players to spread the floor for him, and play defense to cover and switch. Both of these guys fit with Jackson too in that they are super versatile both offensively and defensively. Also, JJJ has the personality to be the vocal defensive qb and be comfortable being the 4th or 5th option on offense can play with a 5 or a 4. It's exactly the kind of players they are trying to draft and build a team of.

I hate all teams that aren't the Suns. Screw them all. I hope they rot forever.

After listening to McD today, I now am doubting that they are willing to push all the chips in on the table to get a high enough draft pick to get Doncic, or to draft Doncic, and then get one of these premiere bigs. I’m going to have to try and temper my expectations that they end up just taking Ayton.

Who knows.

To quote INFO this team needs an "Engine" in the worst way. I just do not know who that is. I really think we have several good pieces that can be melded together into a fun basketball team. Who is going to be that engine? I do not see him on our roster or available other than selecting Doncic. If we go into the season with Ulis as our engine I will throw up.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

Don’t worry is not going to be Ulis, but Brandon Knight... I almost can hear already the “is like having a new addition after a year off by injury, and he is on the best shape of his career...” spin coming full speed our way.

You are probably correct and Ulis will be his back up.

How depressing wil that be? Especially after we finally landed the top pick in the draft after all these years.

We landed that top pick in the first place partially due to having a terrible roster.

Not sure how much weight any given mock draft holds, but NBAdraft.net current has Doncic slipping to 6th:

This is where I am at too. If we can find a way to get either combo of those two, and keep Booker, you do it. I don't care if that costs us any of our current players, or we have to take on Parson's contract. A Booker-Doncic-JJJ/Bamba core rivals what Philly or Utah has, and that is where I see us having to compete (I guess with the Bucks and Celtics too) over the next 5 years.

That’s so sad. They used to be one of the best. NBADraft.net is where Amaré first caught my eye.

With so much being thrown around in the press at the moment I’m getting lost in all the ‘what would be the best draft night’ fog.
I may be fooling myself on this one, but I think there might be a deal to be had with New York for Frank N + #9. Believe it or not, the Knickerbockers are in the bottom half of the league in salary commitments over the next 3 seasons, and if we take back one bad contract they have enough $ to play in free agency this season and maybe next. Dolan loves to play in free agency. Then I would consider packaging 6+9 to move up for the best big guy I could get.

Doncic / Ntilikina / JJJ
