We got the freaking Nº1 Pick overall in a quality draft, and still going at each other’s throats. We truly are incapable of managing stress, such a negativity spilling fan base.
We have disagreements and sometimes feel strongly about them. I don’t see a lot of posts crossing the bounds of civility.
You are right, it’s just that I feel the exchanges exuding vibes in the line of “I’m smart and you’re dumb”, and “Armaggedon is coming if the Team doesn’t listen to me” are increasing across the board, or maybe I just needed my coffee.
There is only a couple sky is falling if we don't draft so and so posters.
I'm glad there are enough posters that "know" exactly who the Suns should draft. I've been looking at this draft since 2016. I've been in the Ayton camp or back and forth for awhile, but today I'm leaning Doncic. I may change my mind 10 times before the draft.
Yup. Same here other than I'm currently leaning slightly toward Ayton. I just completed a 4+ hour drive back from Vegas where I listened to a ton of draft talk from AZ Sports radio to the Bill Simmons podcast. My takeaway is that Doncic is the better basketball player currently and is the best prospect ever to come out of Europe and that he's just completing what is equivalent to a full NBA season plus playoffs against grown ass men. Basketball is in this kid's blood. He had no choice but to become a primo basketball player and already possesses the all-around skills of the greats.
Ayton on the other hand, is a 7 foot physical marvel with the body of a Greek god. He like most of his countrymen started playing soccer first and he came to basketball later so basketball does not come to him as naturally. However, he has made great strides in improving his basketball game even just this last year in his only 30 or so college games. I think he will continue to improve and become an even better basketball player in time and I think we now have the perfect coach to help get him there. He is already a gifted scorer but now he needs to learn where to position his body for rebounds and on defense. I think he has the intellect and drive to get himself there with the coaching we have in place. Plus, like they say, big men take longer to develop. If we do draft him, I hope he becomes a monster in a few years and he along with Booker leads us to the promised land.
If we take Ayton, Sacramento would be foolish to pass on Doncic and if we don't take Ayton, we better damn well take Doncic.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
