2018 Suns Offseason News
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I always find it hard to gauge backups and whether they can make it as 35mpg starters so I'm pretty apprehensive in general. FVV is a little undersized for my liking. I like Rozier a bit more but he may be a system guy under Stevens.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I'm not interested in throwing what Gambo is saying $12-$14 mil per year at Fred Van Vleet to show how much smarter McDonough is than all the other GMs around the league. We've seen that way too many times so far. Also, he seems to have a type of pg that he likes, which is usually a smaller, shoot first type. I don't want another Bledsoe, Knight, Thomas, Ulis, Enis, Reed, King(I know the last two are no pgs, just another reach that he made trying to outsmart everyone else)

That's the part that you pulled out of my post?

I'm not in the habit of bashing McD, but I still thought that King was a reach, even at 59. He wasn't going to get picked at 60, so you take Kosta on a flyer and then reach out to King as an undrafted free agent, imho.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
Why take a flyer on Kosta? Honestly? He's a nobody, just like King, drafting a kid for his last name is just as bad as drafting a nobody. 59 is generally a fart in the wind. Its like when people had a stiffy for Coboclo, I don't get it.

I think Thanasis was a better prospect than Kostas and he barely sniffed the league. I'm not seeing it with Kostas.In2ition wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 5:21 pmI'm not in the habit of bashing McD, but I still thought that King was a reach, even at 59. At the very least he has a cooler name.Shabazz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 5:27 pmI think Thanasis was a better prospect than Kostas and he barely sniffed the league. I think Kosta has a huge possible upside.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 5:28 pmAt the very least he has a cooler name.Shabazz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 5:27 pmI think Thanasis was a better prospect than Kostas and he barely sniffed the league. if the plan is for phx to make the playoffs in 2019, van fleet as starting PG is not gonna do it.

Still dont know why we drafted Reed, or why anyone was even excited by it. Another puzzler for sure.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I'd think about this:
Suns receive: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeremy Lin (expiring contract, waive), NY 2019 2nd round pick
Atlanta receives: Brandon Knight, Milwaukee 1st rounder
Brooklyn receives: Dennis Schroeder

Inf...that's the first proposal on a point guard that I caught my attention. If they could swing that...it would be an interesting experiment. I'd like ot see us run Lin for a bit w/a good Big and see how it worked.

Sign me up for that one. Unload Knight and add Dinwiddie? Sold.
Love, Hurts.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I like Dinwiddie but is he more than a shot maker? Could he run our offense?
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I would rather have Lonzo Ball, and I bet we wouldn't have to give up too much if LeBron wants him gone.
