He has been one of our most reliable scorers. But I have to say, he's now been out for an extended period, and it doesn't seem to have set us back at all. If anything we play better having more balanced SFs out there like Oubre and Bridges. I think I've come around to the opinion that TJ is easily replaceable and that we should find a way to flip him for a more important asset like a PG or PF or whatever.

It's becoming a broken record. sauce is stuck in his dislike for JJ and it will never change. He's not the only one at times that is unable to move off of his opinion. I've been more than happy with JJ at times now that Warren has been out. He's proved me wrong (JJ) and I'm happy to see his improvement.Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 11:13 amDude. Jackson statistically and by the eye test is one of the worst players in the league.

In sauce's defense, the odds favor his opinion at this point. If he sticks to it, he can claim he knew it all along and everyone waiting for him to turn the corner will just look bad in the end.

Of course. It is the easy pessimistic viewpoint. Let's just give up on the guy who is making improvement before our very eyes and will continue to get better as he gets stronger. Let him have his success for somebody else. Let's not develop our players and stick with them.

I'm just sad that I somehow lost the title of "Most pessimistic about Josh Jackson." I can't even get my nickname for him, "The Net Negative," to stick!
Re: Game Day: Suns (16-53) @ Rockets (42-26), Fri 3/15/19
Pretty crazy the difference between pick 3 and 4, huh? Too bad TOO's dream didn't play out. I've also been on record saying Fox should have been the pick. But that was in hindsight. But it's all water under the bridge now. We either need to develop him or trade him for need.In2ition wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 1:55 pmI get what you're saying. The point isn’t that Jackson is a great 3 point shooter now. It’s still a good sign that he’s shot well this month. 27 is small, but it’s not nothing.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:30 pmThis small sample manufactured stats stuff is annoying.

I’m not worried about a popularity contest. Dude is out there playing with 2 IQ making bad decisions at every turn on both ends of the court with no signs of improvement in decision making, and he makes one three pointer and it’s as if he’s “figuring it out.”
I get it Bone. You’re an eternal optimist. You probably didn’t want to give up on Chriss, Len, Goodwin, Bender. You probably liked Mike James, saw value in most of our trash that we’ve taken way too long to dump. But you can’t sell a turd as a legit prospect. He’s not bad. He’s historically bad.
