Jeesh. Was it that bad? Guys would just gather during timeouts in a silent huddle around coach Kokoskov? No wonder he never had any success. The guys never gave him a chance!

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Dare I say that there are some parallels to getting Ricky Rubio in his prime as to when we got Charles Barkley in his prime. Barkley played in the Summer Olympics before the season started and was widely regarded as the best player on the Dream Team that year (He went on to be MVP of the NBA in his first season with the Suns). Ricky Rubio played in the World Cup where he was MVP. Yes, I understand that Rubio is not on the same level as Barkley was but there are some similarities to the circumstances. (And no, I don't believe that Rubio has a chance to become MVP of the NBA this season.)

I feel like we have actual roster balance, guys who fit together and a PG who can run the team. No dual PG backcourt, we don't have 5 SFs forcing 1 or 2 to play PF, no useless overpaid vets on a different "timeline" from the younger players. Not sure what that means in terms of wins or losses but this is a group I can feel good about. Genuinely never liked any of the teams we put out there the past 8 or so seasons.

This is funny. SOMEONE will be the hated player on this team. My best guess is Kaminsky.specialsauce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:34 amLolbajanguy008 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 11:26 amProud of you brospecialsauce wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 10:16 amI would agree. Back up pg position is interesting.
Ty Jerome
Jevon Carter
Tyler Johnson
Elie Okobo
All could compete for that job. I do think that all of those players could play the two as well. Jerome has the height and shooting. Johnson and Carter can defend the two and could come in as defensive specialists. Elie is more of a combo guard anyway.
Elie is the most likely to get DNPCD's IMO, and should probably spend a lot of time in D League.
BTW. Carter is the guy I wanted in last year's draft when we picked up Elie.

Ya my best guess too. I have a feeling he’ll be getting minutes that we all wish were given to Diallo or Cam JohnsonJCSunsfan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 11:10 amThis is funny. Isn't the coach the one who needs to set the tone? I would say it's more of a sign that Igor was not a good head coach.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 4:16 pmJeesh. Was it that bad? Some of the reports/tweets about open practice mentioned Bridges and Oubre going thru some light drills and being active out there but not doing anything really full speed. Didn't seem like they were really slowed down by the injuries but just taking precautions.
