And the reality is I can't see the FO ditching Rubio anyway, as I may have said four or five times already ..
Not like we can get him anyway.
You don't think? If he dominates he's worth $25m which Toronto might not be able to afford and he's not going to take that much of a pay cut to stay?
For a guy that's getting paid $29m next season rising to $38m in his final year and can't shoot the 3 ... I think I'd stick with Rubio.
On talent alone of course, just that contract looks heavy. Van Vleet at $25m all day.
Admittedly haven't watched much of him at all so am heavily reliant on stats, but he's making it pretty obvious now.
It’s much cleaner if Ayton can consistently hit the 3.
Of freaking course you would want their second rounders. You’re the kid that liked the cardboard box a toy came in more than the toy itself lmao
He's on his way to getting more than $20m if he keeps this up .. and my new found appreciation for FVV is just to point out how crazy big Simmons's contract is; for a flawed player I'll pass at that price.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 9:10 pmLol. Now we have to get you a FVV PHX Jersey.
Considering salaries I would take FVV at $20M over Simmons at his contract
I believe Simmons would make for a terrific 4 if Philly could get a knockdown guard to start. It’s dumb how they just can’t make it all work. They overpaid for his supporting cast outside of Embiid.
Right. You should always leave money at the table in any negotiation. Nobody is saying 2nd round picks are likely to be starts. But take a shot and see what you get. It literally costs you almost nothing. Jocik, Pat Bev, Draymond, Dragic, Gasol, DeAndre Jordan--and those are just the guys off the top of my head that are playing this year.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 9:12 pmOf freaking course you would want their second rounders. He gets to the rim on 64% of his shots (it goes up to 94% of all his shots if you extend out to 10 feet). That is a special player when ever single scouting report says to let him shoot.
