I’m not against him, just relaying info from Sam. If Haliburton wasn’t on the board, I would have had no issues with the pick. Still surprised me.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 7:46 pmYes, he is not the most fluid athlete, but the skill is there. We did need a PF. Probably our greatest immediate need.

Of course. With Hali available we could feel blue balls even if our guy is nice.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 7:50 pmI’m not against him, just relaying info from Sam. Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
He's more of a tradional big athletically, a 4/5 rather than a perimeter/faceup 4 with quickness to guard perimeter bigs. He's a quick leaper so blocks, putbacks, lobs are where he stands out. I think he can get better putting the ball on the floor to be a threat but again, he just needs to be good at what he does right now. Some of his offense starts at the 1:40 mark.

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Yep, but honestly if Jalen Smith turns out to be solid like Cam, then I’ll be happy I guess. Even if there are better players taken after him. Drafting just solid players is a nice change compared what was happening with McD.

Absolutely. Couldn't understand people saying our biggest need entering the offseason was a backup guard.

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
I'm not at all upset about not getting Kenard. IMO, he's a rotation player who's been expected to be a starter.
Send me a PM if you're interested in joining the phx-suns.net fantasy basketball league.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Some interesting guys still available. Tyrese Maxey, Desmond Bane, RJ Hampton, Tyrell Terry, Precious Achiuwa. I wouldn’t mind trading back in to the 1st. Not sure how we’d do that though.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
true, also could just wait till he hits free agency at the end of the year.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 7:57 pmI'm not at all upset about not getting Kenard. IMO, he's a rotation player who's been expected to be a starter.

We also have Nader, who's more or less a similar type of player in fewer minutes.

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Would Myles Turner be a good comp for Jalen Smith? Lanky, tall dudes that play defense and shoot 3s at a decent clip.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Turner is bigger. Think Jalen is a more versatile shooter. But ya in a similar mold.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:00 pmWould Myles Turner be a good comp for Jalen Smith? Lanky, tall dudes that play defense and shoot 3s at a decent clip.
