Our entire starting frontcourt plus 4 #1’s seems like a bit much but… what the hell. Win now, fuck the future. If DA is willing, I’m in.
Does it work under the cap? DA and Bridges are both BYC players.

Suns - Kevin Durant
Spurs - Deandre Ayton (4yr/$140M-ish)
Hawks - DeJounte Murry, Jae Crowder
Nets - John Collins, (Hawks role player), Cam Johnson, (Suns role player)
I've come back to reworking this deal I threw out a few days ago because I think John Collins will be the missing piece to get the deal done for Brooklyn.
Suns - Kevin Durant, Clint Capella
Hawks - Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder
Nets - John Collins, Mikal Bridges , Cam Johnson
Suns draft picks would be going all over the place, I'm sure.
I do think we need a decent center back, so I get the thinking.
Maybe we keep one of the twins, Ayton goes to the Spurs and Poeltl come to us with Durant.
I know some in the media are writing off ATL because of all the picks they gave up in the Murray trade, but does Brooklyn turn down an offer of John Collins, Kevin Huerter, De'Andre Hunter, and the draft rights to AJ Griffin? That's a lot of talent.
He's playing the results. I'm pretty sure he knows next to nothing about the real moves the Suns are making. Or in other words, his sources aren't coming from within the Suns front office.

More importantly, does Atlanta even make that offer if they know Durant doesn't really want to play there?
BTW, I'm with you on Roby. Very underrated.

I'd much prefer that but I'm becoming increasingly skeptical of the Spurs interest in paying Ayton big money.

Flex is a lot more confident (99%), and he seems to have a much better inside line on the situation. Remember, he's been calling this since early May. I think it's highly likely the Suns get something done. However, I also think we're probably going to lose 3 of three 4 of Jae, Mikal, Ayton, and CamJ. Since the Nets don't want Ayton, I think there's a near 100% chance this costs us Mikal.
Give just how BAD the FA options left at small forward are, I think the Suns will try hard to keep one of either Mikal or Cam though: they have to keep at least one of them to start next season, or get a playable SF back as part of the KD trade.

that is the first time i heard that about mikal...
Mikal isn’t.
Sorry. I was thinking of old rules.

I don’t think they have their picks…they sent them to Houston for Harden
Man, what a terrible trade for the Nets in hindsight...
I wonder if there's something to be done where maybe Booker doesn't sign a supermax extension right away, and takes some slightly smaller amount. Then we take KD and Simmons from the Nets for Ayton + filler? I'm guessing that gives the Nets a ton more flexibility (even if they don't really want Ayton). I don't know what we do with Simmons at that point, but it's a good problem to have.

Flex's source is Book's brother, so he has a pretty good line. I mean of all players in the league, Book is probably #2 behind Durant in knowledge of what is going on (tied with Chris).
